well everyone...I made my decision

I called over to beantown yesterday and asked for the skinny on these thermostats.

I was suprised to find out that she actually suggested the herpstat. I asked for the justification in the price difference and she said it was basically customer loyalty and the fact that they were the first of their kind.

She said the herpstat was a great unit and in some ways better than the helix model. She also said they had better customer service!

So needless to say, I have ordered my thermostat! I'm excited.

I am ordering anouther Herpstat when I build my next rack. I have only seen a .5 differance so far in the last 4 months.

that was actually one of the things she told me...that the herpstat has a smaller temp difference than the helix.

They are easy to program as well. I use the Heat cable and it does an awesome job with it. You will not be disappointed in it.
