I keep rehabilitating geckos at higher temps, 92-94 range. This also helps with digestion. It may take them a couple weeks to clean their bodies out from former debris and the poop to be their normal. A fecal test should be done in case parasites are present. If they do have parasites, they will be robbed of much needed nutrition to recover, not gain weight as they should, and still be sick. Good luck!

I finally got the pedialite for the little guys and added it to there water. I didnt syrenge it to them, because I knew they were both going to the water dish everyday.

Feeding update: Gecko 2 was doing alot better today. He was looking forward to eating. I had no trouble getting him to eat 2 roaches, he even caught one of them by himself and he also ate a mealie. The Mack Snow if having an off day, but he's still getting his liquids on his own. Im going to soak them and try feeding them once more before calling it a night.

I also saw something about using olive oil if they have an impaction, so i might give that a try since they were originally on sand. I have also been thinking that Gecko 2 might be intemidating the MS and since he's doing better than the MS im going to move him into his own 10G tank.

I have a fealing atleast one will pull through it, but the Mack Snow was the one I fell in love with first. Hopefully he makes it to...

Yep, I'm deffinently seperating the two tomorrow. I believe the smaller gecko is unintentionally bullying the Mack snow by climbing all over him. It also looks like the Mack snow isn't going to have food tonight. He wouldn't eat and has been pretty lazy all day. Also I'm pretty sure both of them might have an impaction so I'm going to go ahead and give them some olive oil tomorrow or mineral oil if I have it.

From looking around the internet i fear that the Leopard Geckos conditions are far worse than i thought. I recently came across the possiblility that they both are infected with "Crypto", if thats the case my attempts are useless. I also fear the my other healthy gecko might get sick. I've been trying my best not to spread anything to my other Leo.

Hopefully im wrong, because i have lost all hope for the little guys.

These new guys should be kept in a completley diffrent room then your current animals. As far as crypto goes, im not in knowledge of it, have done very little research and learned even less. I know that some of the symptoms can match the same thing you may see when a leos been starved or proper care. I cannot Diagnose it though, ill leave that for the older members.

The only other place i could put them is in the cold storage room. There currently in my bedroom which is the warmest place in the house, I keep it around 74-76. Id rather move them though and not risk infecting my healthy girl.

You do have a UTH right? That should keep the surface and air temp higher then the storage room unless we are talking low 60s or lower. also, your room is cold by my standard :p I keep mine at around 80-86 XD. Gots my reps and fish.

I've got 3 snakes and some fish in my room as well, but the snakes all have UTH and night and day lights.

The Mack Snow gecko is in a 10g with a UTH, warm hide, cool hide, calcium and water dish.

The other guy is in a 20g long with a UTH, night bulb that is on 24/7, warm and cold hide, moist hide, calcium and water dish.

There all on paper towels. I decided to move them on to my basement bar top and i moved the heater out there to. Hopefully it warms the basement enough for them. Im going out of town until late monday, so hopefully they make it over the weekend. Both of them decided they wouldnt eat today, but i try again before bed. I fear for the worst when i get home. Its been two days since the Mack Snow has eaten. All he's had was some waxie guts that he licked up. Ill probably leave a waxie our two in each cage before i leave tomorrow.

Ill try the red roaches again. My little miss piggy at all of the rest of them yesterday.

What's the average cost to have a leopard gecko checked out and prescribed medicine by a vet?

I found a good vet thats about 5 minutes away and I'm contemplating weather or not I'm going to take them when I get back. I just want to find out weither or not they have Crypto or if it's something less serious, like an impaction or just a loss of appetite due to stress.

You can call the vet and get a price. Honestly if one turns up with crypto, and them both being in that condition then there is a good chance they are both infected.

I'm pretty sure the Mack Snow has some kind of infection. He's not active at all lately and has just been a statue. The other one I believe is a female and has been staying on the cooler side. She been really active and never stays still. She's still not eating, but I have a feeling that my change by the time I get back. I have soaked them the last few days and plan on giving them mineral oil and try to feed them a variety of foods tomorrow before I leave.

When I get back I will get an estimate and take them in if there still not eating. Hopefully it won't be to late for both.

Now that I think of it I should have all 3 of my geckos checked, but I don't think my pockets are deep enough for that. If the is right I will for sure.

Crypto is difficult to diagnose with a routine veterinary stool culture, and bacterial infections will not show up at all. I would certainly have a fecal test done anyway to rule out other possible parasitic infections.

Here is an article I wrote on Crypto a few years ago. It may be a little dated as I have heard there is a new diagnostic test that can be performed to confirm it.

Thanks for the info... I'll be sure to stick all of my hides, water bowls, and other stuff in all my Leo cages, in the dish washer and bleach the aquariums there in. I just want to make sure I keep the number of bacteria down and so I don't infect my others. I have them moved to the other side of the house anyways.

Well I finally got home today and went straight down to check on the two. They were both looking good. I refilled there water dishes and noticed a few crickets missing out of gecko 2's cage. I couldn't remember or not of I left a wazir in the MS cage, but I went a head a put another. He ate it about 15mins later, so I put 2-3 crickets in there and started chasing them.

I wondering if crypto is out of the question. There eating and drinking, but still very weak.

I think you've got it right. There both hunting on there own, but just a little to slow to catch them all the time. There making a good effort to catch them, but I have to injure there food so they can eat. Poop looks healthy and they are both keeping there eyes open. Before they would just walking around with there eyes almost shut and now there bright eyed.

Its just going to be a matter of making sure they feed every day or other, get food and stay in a stressful environment.

I still plan on soaking them in 50/50 pedialyte mix to help pass an impaction if they have it. I will not do it as often though.
