I know this is not a question I have a clue how to answer. I spend 6 months in Massachusetts and 6 months in Florida. I'm trying to figure out how I can transport, which will probably be 3 Leos by then, in my car for 2 1/2 days to Florida. I can bring my tanks packed away, and I can get smaller ones to keep in the car, but how do I keep the Leos happy and healthy for the 2 1/2 days of traveling. Thanks.

Hi:

I can plug the UTH into an adapter that goes into the cigarette lighter and it would have a thermostat so that wouldn't be a problem, but just want to know if there is something else I can do to keep them happy and healthy for the ride. Thanks.

Well, you can give them a waxie or 2 for a treat before you leave or during the ride. You can give them mealies. My gecko LOVES mealies :D.

Get deli cups (I can give you some) and put the geckos in the deli cups while you're driving so they don't slide around the tank while on the road. They will be fine without belly heat during the day when you're driving. If the weather is cold, make sure the car heat is on. At night, bring some plastic critter cages and some human heating pads. Plug them in so they have night heat. Bring a container of mealworms for feeding. THey'll be fine. Pack their permanent cages and set them up when you get to FL.
