So I've been keeping this under wraps, but after hatching this one I can't hold it in anymore...
About a month ago I hatched a solid white gecko with red eyes from pairing my Mack Snow "BSB" (search "BSB" for more info) to his mother... Although the gecko was full term it was dead when I found it... :main_no: My initial thought was it was a Bell Blazing Blizzard, but I now believe it was a RE Snow Enigma... This pretty much proved my theory that my "BSB" line geckos are indeed capable of producing Enigmas! The next baby from that pair is due in 10-12 days and I enthusiastically await it's arrival...
Just like the Enigmas, my "BSB" line geckos are capable of pulling color out of nowhere and can make very high contrast babies from rather drab females (see this thread and this thread)... My "BSB" line geckos will now be called Ultra Bells! :main_cool3:
Some of these also are Mack Pastels since the original male was one, but they're still able to make high contrast offspring (Mack Pastel sibs are generally very bright)...
'07 Mack Pastel Ultra Bell...
'06 Mack Pastel Sib...
The genetics are definitely not understood yet, but so far 100% of the offspring produced show traits of their fathers... Some even show right out of the egg like the one pictured at the top (head spots which don't show on normal Bells until at least two to three weeks)! I will leave it to you all to pick up on the other traits... :main_evilgrin:
I will have some available although females will be very limited...
