Since our season has started off sooo incredibly slow.. here's an update on the three hatchlings we have so far this year.
Vanille, Snow het. RAPTOR from SSE x Jungle RAPTOR (possible Giant genes, as Jungle RAPTOR father could be Giant, just has yet to be proven)
Lorelei, Enigma het. RAPTOR from LBS x Nova (her color is fading fast, I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up with high-white looks due to the LBS influence)
Lilith, Snow het. RAPTOR from LBS x Nova (who seems a little dark right now)
Vanille will be a month old tomorrow and the other two are three days younger.
Some of you may remember how Vanille seemed a lot bigger than the other two and we're hoping she ends up being a Giant.. well, this inspired me to keep track of all hatchling growth rates this year, which I've done before.. However, this year is different because I'm plotting their growth on a handy little chart so I can actually see their growth rates compared to one another.
As it turns out, Vanille is growing nicely but Lilith has surpassed her.. pretty interesting. I look forward to analyzing this chart as the season continues, to see who grows faster than others, etc.
The key is on the right side, but Vanille is the blue line, Lilith the green line, and Lorelei the pink/purple line. I'm excited to see what kind of growth patterns we'll have.
The ends of the graph got cut off for some reason when I scanned it, but the x-axis is "weeks past hatch date" and the y-axis is "weight in grams".
