First off... first 365 in county JAIL, after that PRISON Prison is known for rapes, not a county jail.

I have friends in the local, county, state and federal levels of law enforcement and you can't pull a wall over my eyes.

I started getting high at 13 and went to way harder drugs for many years. I never bought less than a ounce a week Drug free by choice for almost 12 years. NOBODY will ever accuse me of being stupid, dumb or having a lack of memory. On the contrary.. 168 IQ and a nearly photographic memory

The government makes plenty of money of drugs already and let's face it, the economy will REALLY tank if pot becomes legal. No more need for all those extra cops, court ordered rehabs, less income from fines to finance added labor, dorito sales will go down, less anger, so less violent crimes.... oh the list I can write.

It affects some people's short term memory... I suffer from very bad muscle spasms related to my spinal cord injury... Nothing works for them except marijuana which my DOCTOR recommended... My short term memory is above average as well as my IQ... Don't believe everything you hear or read...

I don't think the economy would crumble. I see it more as old money not wanting to make way for new money. If we're not buying oil we'll be paying for solar, wind, hydro, or whatever else... unless we're all producing our own. I think a changing of the guard might do us some good. Call me crazy, but I don't think burning oil is very good for the planet as a whole.

Tanga is not a criminal in my eyes. Granted it was against the TOS, it's not my place to comment on her being banned. On the other hand, I know quite a few cancer patients, aids patients, and other terminally ill people who choose to medicate with marijuana to help with some pain or to increase their appetites rather than take something man made that requires a list of other pills for the side affects. I don't believe Lani deserves persecution. :smash: Which one of us is a judge? Has it crossed anyone's mind that maybe she is not just trying to get high? Please be more compassionate. This is just my opinion, don't stone me to death. Alcohol and cigs, which are both perfectly legal, kill more people daily than marijuana ever could. I firmly believe that the only reason marijuana is illegal is because the government can't figure out how to control it. Once they figure out how to get their piece of the pie it will be legal. Not long ago there were several Medical Marijuana Dispenseries in my city, the only reason any of them were shut down was because the IRS wanted their chunk of the profits. I used to do many research papers on marijuana. In order to overdose on marijuana, one would have to smoke 1500 pounds in less than 15 minutes.. it's pretty much impossible. Marijuana also releases the same endorphins as chocolate, so one could get just as high from chocolate (I guess) if they eat LARGE amounts of it haha

Ken, you know me, I know at least one person that NEEDS marijuana for very REAL reasons, not recreational.. plus, marijuana is proven to be good for nausea, glaucoma, among other things.. if you're having bad nausea, I would recommend smoking some weed, if you know where to get it. Me, I'm preggo, so I don't touch the stuff myself (I am not saying it would be good for morning sickness haha).

As far as smoking weed making you an idiot. It definitely doesn't if you do it in moderation.. MODERATION is key to EVERYTHING in life.. too much or too little of anything can be bad It's when you turn into a complete stoner, that you're an idiot One truly can become addicted to the stuff, one truly can get so bad on it that it ruins their lives.. but that's from smoking it WAY too much.

And I completely agree on the part about the govt. not being able to control it, hence why it is illegal :main_yes: As soon as they figure out a good way to tax it, it'll be legal.. give it five more years or less.

It is illegal to smoke pot, and it is against the TOS of this website to post illegal activity. Now, whether pot should be legal is a completely different subject. As far as it goes here on GF, Kelli cold get in B-I-G trouble, even sued, and even prosecuted for 'promoting' illegal activity here on a public forum.

Now, remember... I graduated from high school in 1971. EVERYONE smoked dope. I was raised in the drug culture, and graduated from UC Berkeley! So, I definitely have my opinions on whether or not it should be legal to use cannabis. Heck, if it was legalized and taxed like hell, perhaps the State of California wouldn't be broke! LOL!!! But even if it is legal here in my state to used medically prescribed cannabis, it is still illegal by the Federal government.

Back to the issue with 'Tanga'... she broke the rules of this website by posting about something illegal, got an infraction, pitched a fit about it, posted a whole thread on how unfair and biased GeckoForums is, and is now on a 30-day time out. That issue really doesn't have anything to do with whether she smokes dope or not.

Same here.. I first smoked weed and cigs at the age of 13 and have done everything under the sun besides PCP and Heroin (thank goodness). I was a very rebellious kid back in my teenage days, and I was in a very small town where there weren't many options for other recreational things. I can tell you one thing.. I definitely paid the consequences over SEVERAL years. At any rate, I've been drug free for 4 years now and have an IQ of 148 Although, I probably could have been even smarter if it weren't for my druggy past. Regardless, I too have a very sick photographic memory.. my short-term memory was great before I got preggo.. Now my mind is pretty scattered and my short-term memory is shot; I don't know what that's all about lol.. could be from my concussion, could be from pregnancy, or a little bit of both.

And you're right, the reason she is banned now really doesn't have anything to do with weed at all.

Exactly. I've smoked my fair share of marijuana, trust me. Not to mention all the various other psychedelic substances I enjoyed in my youth. I also agree that marijuana should be decriminalized. That being said, it's still illegal and I'd rather it not be discussed on GeckoForums, even in the FC. I'm closing the thread now. :main_thumbsup:
