That's pretty sweet, Harold! Definately keep us posted. I think it might be a komodo dragon, or maybe some kind of blind cave salamander.

very interesting indeed. I have not gotten anythign yet from my pairing with those genes that come close to looking like that...lol But i don't see how it could possibly be a banded super snow..lol Looks like a eclipse from the raptor genes migrated to a darker banded leo. Keep us posted.

What does the femur look like? Steve said on his website that you can sort of tell by leg color.

I want to thank everyone whom has posted on this thread. It looks like one of those things where time will tell. I just had never seen such an unusual hatchling and it was definitely not the expected outcome. Its sibling is a banded albino that may hypo out with time.

Paul - The femurs are dark gray.

I've never seen anything like it. It has several Mack snow characteristics, with some really obvious exceptions. With the parents given, I can't think of any normal reason for it to hatch looking like that. It may be a congenital fluke, but with a little luck you'll have something new.

New Photo - Tub Cleaning

I was cleaning the bins in my hatchling rack tonight and decided to take a photo to show how he has completely changed from hatch day.

Awww that's kind of disappointing... A nice Eclipse nonetheless! I'd hold on to him and breed him to a Raptor or het Raptor to see if anything is going on...
