What have I got this time?

Okay, I got this little girl(?) from a friend, who got her from a big chain store. From the eyes, she looks like some kind of tremper? (Looks similar to my tremper patty's eyes, anyway.)

The full-body shot is the best representation of her colors: brown stripes and a very light yellow on the body. I think she's about to shed, though. Soo... a "chocolate" tremper, maybe?

looks like normal, possibly hypo. It also looks like it's about to shed. I dont see any albino-ism at all.

Really?? Maybe it's my camera, but her eyes do *not* look like my normal's.

Normal (maybe High Yellow):

Same camera, all with flash, I think. The tremper patty eye pic might not have been with flash... I can get one with flash if needed.

My SHCTB breeders have eyes that look like that.
The polygenes that cause hypo/CT can have that much of an impact on the eye color, then? What happens when you start mixing those traits with an albino strain? I've seen a lot of people that swear they can tell the albino strains apart by eye color-- if there's polygenes affecting eye color, how can that be reliable?

I don't think it can be an albino, irregardless of the eyes. Look at the dark banding on the body. I don't think all the of the eye talk about the albinos is to differentiate albino from non-albino as much as it is to tell WHICH albino strain it is.

It often helps to wait a few days after getting a pet-store leo to take a stab at the morph. The yellow tends to show up a *lot* more with the proper temps, food, etc.
Mine wasn't directly from a pet store when I got him, but he didn't have a tank heater, and he was much duller and browner than he is now.

Yeah, it'll probably be easier to tell later-- I'm just impatient! :p

I'm still confused over the eyes, but I'm used to working with color genetics in animals with fur, so I'm still getting used to reptile morphs.
