Tangerine. And yeh as said above, you should be able to sex it at that size. its easy to sex, just turn them over and where their genitals would be look for a chevron shaped line of pores, you'll know what im talking about if they are there, and if you cant figure out what i mean then chances are they aren't there. Anywa, if it has the chevron then its male.

I would say Tangerine also. That gecko is really orange for having that many spots. I would guess that it came from a high quality Tangerine crossed with a non Tangerine and got a lot of Tangerine influence.

No...that is not a normal. I think maybe someone, like Robin, needs to come by and remind us all what a "normal" looks like.

That gecko is a tangerine.

This is what colour tangerine is, hence why i said normal/high yellow

Too many geckos are dubbed tangerine nowadays even when they are not.

Well if you know what colour tangerine is then you can clearly see that leo is not tangerine. And i didnt call it a normal i said normal/high yellow. Which i stand by. And you can call me a smartass instead of using dollar signs i aint gonna cry about it! its only a forum.:main_rolleyes::main_rolleyes:

I would have called you worse, but I don't want the infractions. Which you now deserve, because that's against TOS.

And I stand by my vote as a TANG...so I guess we're getting nowhere with this little cyber-argument.

The bickering needs to stop, please.

Kelli since you are one of the most experience that have with gecko breeding, What morph or poligenic traits does this gecko have? I am also confused since it looks normal to me but then is too tangerine to be high yellow. Am I wrong?

Thanks

id definitely go tangerine too, its doesnt have to be the same colour as an actual tangerine to be called a tangerine, thats the morphs name, not the description. an emerald gecko isnt green and gem like. a mack snow isnt as white as snow. The name tangerine was given to geckos that show orange colouring, not geckos that look like an actual citrus fruit. This gecko has orange colouring.

There is a thread somewhere (and I'm not going to spend time looking for it right now) where we discussed quite thoroughly the issue of what gets called a tangerine. Maybe someone can locate it and reference it.

i dont think it matters what was considered tangerine two years ago, times have changed that tangerines have become so bright and tangy that there are electrics now and tangerine tornados.
And i stand with my earlier statement, tangerine is not a description its a name to a gecko showing orange.

I could go call a zebra morph a bumblebee, but it doesnt have to be yellow and white, cuz ive given it that name so i can make the rules for what it has to be. So someone originally gave the name tangerine to a gecko that showed orange colouration not because he lost it in a fruit bowl and thought it was an orange.
