I work for the news paper. so it just makes sence to use news paper but I use the roll ends that don't have any ink printed on them. i know alot of people news paper but the ink used to print the papers DOSE NOT DRY!!!!! but I know a lot people have used it for a long time with no problem. the ink we use is soy based and biodegrateable

Paper towels or repti-carpet or anything listed above that is NOT a loose substrate. if the little gecko(s) eat any of the substrate, they can become impacted and die if not taken care of right away. even then......

For hatchlings, paper towel. For the older animals i use Sand/pete moss mix and haven't had any issues.
