I know. I think I may be wrong about that name I am using for that item.... I already am getting a digital theromometer from fosterandsmith. com. I need something to control the temps on teh hot side. What is it called?

Yes, that is what I ment. :) Is a thermostat better than a rheostat? I was going to get a rheostat from fosterandsmith, but other people have said rheostats temps are to high.....

Thanks.

A rheostat is just like a dimmer. You control the temp yourself since it doesn't however a thermostat will automatically adjust the temp so once you set it you won't have to mess with it again. Basically a rheosts=headaches...lol

That is the one I have. I have 3 of them and I LOVE them. Two of them have been set for over 1 year and I haven't had to mess with them once. Temp stays at a constant 90f-92f

Remember. Don't use 1 thermostat to control two tanks

Definately go thermostat, I know as well as you do how the temps are around here :D You would be constantly turning a rheostat up and down almost daily. I know, I tried it :D

Yes, this is true. :D

I have ordered a 10 qt. bag of aspen, thermostat and a digital thermometer from reptilesupply.com. This is all for my new corn snake.

Thanks again!!
