Which brand UTH do you use?

Just out of curiosity I was wondering what UTH everyones running? I currently run the Zoo Med large and medium and just recently my large pad died after less than 6 months of use. I have heard and seen many different brands but what is the most reliable (Lasting life and even heat distribution) for you all?

I have been using mostly zoo meds, I also have an exo terra pad and an exo terra cable. I recently picked up several ultratherms, and they are quickly becoming my favorites, they seem to provide more even heat, and I love the wide range of available sizes.

I just got my new Ultratherm in today. I love it. Honestly, I have never seen such consistent temperatures and I've been literally looking at the digital thermometer every 5 minutes. It's like a new toy, I'm just so excited about it after only using heat lamps all this time.

I was just about to ask that question. I have ZooMed Medium and Small and a 8x8 Exo Terra and they all suck, lol. They go up and down like a yo-yo it's highly annoying!

Yes it is highly annoying.... and most of mine are fairly new too which really irks me.. I don't have money to just throw out the door.

I would use the 11x6 for a 10 gallon, and 11x11 for the larger tanks.

I bought an ultratherm...... and don't like it. It it so freaking warm. I have my theromostat set to almost off to get it to sit about 95..can't get it any lower than that.

I prefer Exo Terra but Zoo Med is cheaper. Exo Terra doesn't get as hot, recently my Zoo Med hit 114! If I use Zoo-Med I put it on my Helix Thermostat. I don't use exo Terra on Thermostat's. But since I am starting breeding I am using Heat Tape more often. It is cheaper and it hooks up to my Helix.

Thanks Tony...... I ordered the small from them to see if it works better than the Zoo Med 10/20. You have to put it sideways on a 10 gal.

I've had 2 zoo meds hit 120 farenheit and I've used 3 exo terras that hit 100farenheit max. The ultratherm are the best tho, I am using a exo Terra now and it's fine but when I get the spare cash Im gonna buy a bigger uth and it will be a ultratherm for sure..
