Atomic Geckos.

1. CRgeckos may be confused for crested geckos.
2. Atomic Geckos should have some seriously cool logo/tshirt graphics.

I`ll be honest I don't know why your thinking of a business name if you have never seen an egg before...

That's kinda true and funny, but he's got to start somewhere... I mean come on, he has 1 leopard and 1 crested gecko (female and male).

I'm not sure you will be able to do what you need with no experience using just front page. You may want to hire someone to create your website unless your grandfather is very experienced. If your website is your main forum of business and your greatest source of advertisement, you want it to be very professional. If it ends up looking like some personal geocities page, you may run into trouble.

I ditto this strongly...

It's interesting... :-\ You wouldn't be able to pull off that layout with a gecko site. It'd be a little boring. :-\

I like Atomic Geckos better, but I agree with Jeanine, you're going to have to have some serious graphics to match the name. Is your grandfather experienced in creating graphics and graphic design? If you have a name with such as strong conotation, you should have strong graphics to match.

I think even with this hobby of breeding reptiles, you're going to run into the problem of people wanting to buy from you being a minor.

My uncle is in the Graphic business. There is no way for me to get by being a minor? How come people buy from Nigel4less, we are the same age. I understand he has a rep but still. Ill be getting either a Male Leo or a Female Crestie soon. Does anyone here like the name GeckoGeeks?

I agree that the site needs to look professional but at the same time it doesn't have to be extreme. In my opinion the most important thing is relating your product if you have good quality geckos with good pics and info like bloodline hatch date weight and things like that along with a good fair price you are going to get more responses than just a flashy site. I don't know to many true gecko lovers that buy from the flashiest site. Just make sure you supplie as much info as possible about you your geckos and the care they need you should be ok it will just take time.

A Thought For You

Im trying to decide which website name I like better so I thought Id as kyou guys.

Just a thought for you. If you are planning business and a source of your business comes from perhaps listing your site with a group of others as with this forum or on (K***S****), etc. It can be advantageous to start and carry a Co. Name with the product, so if a potential customer wants a Leopard Gecko he doesn't have to pull up sites that are perhaps only snakes.............When I want another critter I first go to sites & persons I know, Classified, then search GECKO something first, then something GECKO and then I will get discouraged quickly at a few OTHER REPTILE sites that do not have geckos. Take care. HJ

It's ok. What happens if one day you want to breed something other than geckos and you hobby name is geared toward geckos? Or are you always only going to stick with geckos?
