Congrats! After losing all those eggs it must be a huge relief. I lost all my fat tail eggs last year. I chalked it up to first time breeders. I think I put my male in with the 2 females too soon. So due to the excitement of breeding plus being dominated for food by the females, he didn't grow like he should have. Even now he's smaller than the females. I've separated them now. This year I've hatched 3 Amel Fat Tails.
Love that White Sock! I'm guessing the parents were het for White Socks from the VMS Herp line?
Check the Thread heavey Aft there is a pic, snared99 ,they look normal exept my male is huge. Thank you Jason, I've have all 9 of my aft's seperated. I've seen your Amels they are fantastic, Well I've got Two more Shots with this years eggs, they are due on the 17th of june. Hopefully maybe another sock baby
Thanks Everyone, And an answer to lecko's Q, I purchased each of the parents from two different local pet stores in Michigan, each one ran me about 50 bucks and they are both really nice. Next breeding season will hopefully prove which gecko has the gene, I hope I'ts the male because I have about 6 females I can breed him with
cool congrats! its always a better surpprise when you get something different than what you expect. do you think your adults were imports? I know there was a group of them that came into the country a few yrs ago but not sure where they ended up. well good luck on hatching more!
