Well, today was the first time I held a snake!
I have always been kinda afraid of them. But, having two living with me now *One is my roomies, and other is a friends ..she is keeping here till she gets her own place* I have adjusted to looking at them. And have even touched my friends Carpet Python. And Still havnt touched my roomies Baby Rainbow Boa..*he sometimes darts at her face, and it scares me LOL* And the python is a Pussy Cat
But, I have Never HELD one. So, I took the plung. Went to a petstore, and had them pull out one of the baby Corn Snakes.. OMG it was sooo pretty! And I LOVED holding it. Feeling it between my fingers! Very neat! So, After 30 min I put it away as I didn't want to take too much time from the associate! And went to a reptile store, and pulled out another one!
I couldn't resist!
Another baby of course. But it was amazing. I was super comfy with it. And used the tips my roomie gave me in touching the python.. and it went great! Now, I am researching them more and more. There is a Reptile Expo thing next weekend I am gonna go to. And May MAYYYY Consider getting one!
WE shall see though.
But, My question is this.. Is there a particular morph that is Better at being handled then another? Is one sex better then another? I will be reading up on these more and more the next week.. and see if I am comfy enough with trying a new animal or not. Make sure it is the right thing for me. And all that.
And to think my first Reptile was my Leos
I have 3 of those. Now I don't know if I will ever be without a reptile! LOL!
So, I would love your opinions on Corns.. and any info I should know for a first time Snake Owner.
