Why? Dubia egg sacs doesn't seem too gross to me, at least it doesn't move and it is dry! I'd rather pick it up with my bare hands than touch a cricket...

I'd rather touch neither!!
I handle the worms in this house with tweezers.
My husband is the roach handler.

Sorry. I LOVE my leos, but i don't touch bugs.
It's a serious phobia of mine.

OK... so yesterday I do a lab with my students to practice making scientific observations. Several years ago, I decided that the subject of study would be a live giant hissing cockroach. I hand one out to each group of students in a closed mini kritter keeper, and the students have the choice to leave it in there, or to take it out and handle it. These are big, adult hissers. Most want to hold it. One girl kept changing her mind. She wanted to hold it, and then she'd change her mind. This repeated several times. She finally got up the nerve to hold it, and as it crawled on her hand, her eyes welled up and tears started to run down her cheeks. I'll give her a lot of credit though... she didn't scream or fling it across the room. I think she faced down a phobia and won (or at least it was a tie at the very least LOL).
