KelliH said:Sorry to hijack your thread Jeremy, but I might as well explain the white tongue thing. I hatched out a very special gecko once that had a white tongue. I believed it to be a true anerythristic leopard gecko. Unfortunately the gecko only lived for a couple of months. Here are some photos of it. BTW, the parents were both Electric Tang/Bell Albino crosses, so this is not a Mack Snow. It is pictured with it's clutchmate below.
Wow, sure looks like an anerythristic. It seems that you'd get more from that same pairing but I'm sure you tried.
This was/is my thought as well. Sorry, yours didn't make it Kelli.KelliH said:I did hang onto the clutchmate but I think the "anery" was just a random mutation
KelliH said:Well, whatever it is, it's awesome Jeremy. I'm just real confused about the Blizzard Enigma thing... *taps foot impatiently waiting for more eggs to hatch*
It seems like the enigma gene reveals the underlying pattern/coloration that would exist if the blizzard trait didn't express itself. It's the first time I've actually considered buying an enigma, due to my love for blizzards.
Jeremy Letkey said:I have been waiting to post this. The hatchling was rather small and weak at first. Then several bad sheds and trouble eating. He has recently had a very good shed, without any assistance. I am going to give him a soak tonight again as there are a few stuck bits but compared to past sheds this one was great. He is eating great and pooping as expected. Soooo, now comes the fun part.![]()
Parents are a Bell Enigma x Blizzard.
This was hatch day 04/02/08. I was confused. I thought maybe premie, color hasn't developed...
