Hello. I have a young crested gecko named Jupiter and every time I introduce her to some sphagnum moss, she eats it. I always try to make sure she doesn't ingest too much if any at all, but I know this is not good for her. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get their crested gecko to stop eating moss and if I need to bring Jupiter to the vet.
My gecko, Dusty, enjoyed a slightly brown banana this morning! She was eating it like a true predator! And obviously she didn't eat the whole banana, we share our bananas.

I bought my leopard gecko from a nearby pet store but it just matters what type of gecko you are getting.

Leaving Forum: Hi Yvonne. Isn't there a way we can actually take someone off the forum so they don't get any notifications about anything anymore?

Hello everyone! I am a first time reptile owner and just rescued a beautiful leopard gecko. I have a few questions on how long I should keep her heating lamp and UV lamp on (she has a heat pad under one of her hiding places) and I am just wondering how to give her the best care possible! If anyone has any tips for a first time gecko owner I would love to hear them! Thank you :)

I like to keep all my lights on during the day and turn all of them off in the night, If you think it's cold and dark for the gecko, just remember that leopard geckos can see in the dark, they are nocturnal, and in the wild there is no lamp keeping them warm in the night. (I am not a expert btw, Cheers)

I have a 1.5 year old male leopard gecko. I have not been able to find any help for this. On Saturday morning he suddenly started scratching/pawing at the ground. he does this for minutes on end (5-20 at a time). When he does, he uses any or all of his limbs and just stares into space. He is capable of walking, I've seen him do it before and after these events. He continues to do it.

I am a 13-year-old reptile enthusiast. I have written several care guides published on my site, herphusbandry.weebly.com, and one for Western Fence Lizards (Sceloporous occidentalis) that was published in the jan/feb issue of Reptiles magazine, as Herper's Most Wanted. If you saw it, let me know what you thought!

I have 0.2 leopard geckos, and I'm currently incubating 1 egg. I'm expecting 2 more.
Hi everyone.

I have a 1 year old (and three months) leopard gecko. He lives in a 25 gallon and I use two domes, one for a CHE and on a dimming thermostat, and the other, a nano UVB (I also provide the appropriate calcium with and without D3). He's been doing good, but this morning I woke up and both domes and lights won't work. I'm set to leave town on Saturday and in my town, I don't have a way to get back up he

I understand that the vet doesn't have an appointment till next week but, this is a true emergency and your friend should call back the vet and tell them that this gecko needs to be seen right away as an emergency. If the exotics vet still won't budge, have your friend go to a regular vet as an emergency.

I know they can't necessarily do much, but perhaps they'll be motivated to contact an exotics vet and do a telehealth visit. It's really crucial that this gecko gets to a vet ASAP.

Sorry all of the one message would not fit in one post. I hope your leopard gecko gets better.
