Silly question, and not to take away from your thread about your gorgeous geckos, but I have a question for you:

How did you angle your flash to get a pic of their beautiful eyes?
I never know how to angle my external flash get capture the color of my baby enigma's eyes.
It's only her eyes I have issues capturing, too, it's weird.

thanks guys!

i got a total of seven geckos so these are just a few snaps. i will get more photos soon :)

well these photos were taken using the on camera flash. i actually used the regular auto setting. it was shot inside using no light tent or anything. it was just a snap shot. one thing, do not a straight on perpendicular camera to eye shot, zoom out a bit and wait for the gecko to move into the sweet spot. also, shooting slightly above or below the animal aiming down or up (but i find aiming slightly down works better) catches the eye without the flash either washing it out or just screwin' the eye shot altogether. also, the lid of the gecko keeps the flash from over powering the eye shot.

Very nice, I enjoy seeing "everyday" pics more than the properly set up ones...shows their personalities better! Can't wait to see your other new additions.
