so yeah i needed a reason to show off this girl i guess. i have been trying to get a shot of her eyes and i just cant. i can not find the right lighting to get the true color of her eyes in a picture. its kinda getting frustraiting. you can have an idea of shade of purple in both her eyes, but they are actually purple, not just a shade, but actually purple :main_angry: and it makes me mad i cant capture it! any way here she is.......

thanks everyone!!

ehhh, its the fact that im still breeding enigmas when so many people what to stop breeding them. but the great thing is, that i gave that girl every test i could. she doesnt do a single normal enigma thing. so spinning, not star gazing, no problem eating, and no rolling over. so she is perfectly heathy in every way

i do not see a problem breeding enigmas. i do not agree with an enigma to enigma breeding. just because a parent enigma does not exhibit and "enigma symptoms" does not mean some of their offspring will not. i have personally decided to breed some enigmas next year and none of my enigmas have exhibited any signs but if their babies do i am fully aware i might have to be putting some down. now at this time i have mixed feelings of breeding for bell enigmas.

i fully agree with ya robin. i have selected only normal acting engimas for my breeders. so not a single one of my adults do anything bad, and weeded out the bad acting ones. BUT i did get 5 enigmas last season that failed to thrive so they got put down. why do u feel that way about bells?

as far as i know more than one breeder did enigma x enigma breedings this last season; was there an increase in the production of offspring with 'enigma syndrome' compared to enigma x normal crosses?

i haven't heard anything bad.

good luck,
rob

i have seen and heard of more bell enigmas experiencing more sever symptoms. is this true or a coincidence i do not know. but considering the enigmas pooped out of mark bells, line of albinism (as i understand it) it would kind of make sense that the bell enigmas (bell albino enigmas) might have more of a chance of having more severe symptoms.

p.s. when referring to a bell enigma i am referring to a bell albino enigma, not an (non bell albino) enigma produced directly by mark bell.

no its not that there was an increase, its more of a matter of just wanting to out cross the enigmas

it would make sense you would get more if not all enigmas. thing is of the amount of enigmas produced what percentage of the enigmas exhibited any symptoms and out of those what percentage was severe? compared to a normal x enigma breeding.
