with males that don't know what to do lol... They just kind of walk aimlessly rubbing their tails all over acting like there isn't a female around lol. :main_laugh:

Really? lol.

I was just going to leave them together...

Just kind of frustrating... the two most insignificant pairs went just fine. As for all the good stuff..................... :dead:

sounds like you are in a bit of a bind if he ends up not breeding the female. do you have a backup male?

No... And it would cost me an arm and a leg to get another male...

Any other inputs on how to get him in the mood is appreciated!

10 minutes in the freezer ought to set him straight.

For the humor-impaired, that was a joke, do not try this at home. :D

Yeah, I've got one SHTCT male that has... issues with breeding with some of our females. However, he managed with one, so hopefully he gets there with the others. Good luck with your male Josiah!

I was wondering if this worked out for you?

I am having the exact problem with my SS male, totally ignores the female as a mate (yes I'm sure they are male + female :D ) Never even seen him shake his tail. They have been together 3x now for 2 weeks at a time. Still no eggs:main_no:

I went ahead and tried this with my SuperSnow. Cooled him for 2 days at 67F in the basement. So far no luck, he still does not seem to have any interest in any female.

Maybe he should be cooled longer?
Any opinions?

Try not feeding him for 10 days to empty his stomach and then cool him down for a couple of weeks and then bring the heat back up.Some of the breeders cool them them down for 6-7 weeks.
