I think it would be an african fat tail and not a black pearl because there are non in america just african fat tails.

Well...it could have been a VERY dark Blizzard. The ones at a local chain store almost look black because they don't have proper heating.

i dont think he is looking in the US? it could be a gecko, there are tons of different types of geckos, likely not a leo... nor a fat tail... probally something like a golden, or a tokay, or...? all get black from time to time... seems to be more when stressed or cold... *shrug* we would need a pic for sure ;)

Probably not a leo, considering they are extremely rare. Not to mention people have been breeding to try to get a pure black gecko for a long time.

as i already stated a golden gecko can appear black under stress or wrong temps... as a tokay can, and im sure there are other gecko species that can... i dont have a scientific explanation but it happens... honest...

It could be a melanistic leo that is very dark and looks black, or even a crested I've seen a few very black cresteds fired up.

i was in a petstore near my house and saw a gecko that looked like a leopard gecko but wasn't listed as one. it was listed simply as black gecko? maybe some type of similar species?
