The lighting doesn't change the fact that it's a melanistic gecko:main_yes:

It doesn't appear to be as dark as the image depicts, but it's still a dark gecko that is non albino.

last I heard Casper has not sold any yet. Alot of blueish light also. Try retaking the pics normally.

Well, it doesn't seem to look like a photo I saw of
a black pearl. That one was Jet Black.....and a beauty.....?? agree these are black-n-?......The other was BLACK/ white belly. Maybe it was a baby before it had its color changes. ??? can anyone comment?.......take care. HJ

I have a hatchling that looks a lot like that --it was born looking like it had come from my mack snows, but, believe it or not, it's tremper albino x SHTCT. It was born with very black bands and white bands that had a tiny bit of yellow. As it grew it seemed hypermelanistic at first and maybe I'd still call it that. It's about 2 months old now and is lightening considerably although the black bands are a dark lavendar and the lighter bands are still a very pale yellowish. Unfortunatley I didn't take a picture of her earlier, but when I get back from vacation the middle of this week I'll take a picture of how she looks now and we can compare.
