You say you know how to make diablo Blancos? Tell me how you think it is done. Then, we can correct you. I can tell you 100% that a normal blizzard could never directly produce a diablo blanco. It is a combination of traits that need to be carried by BOTH parents.

No problem. It takes time. You can even make a guessing game out of it... so someone asks "what is this morph?" try to figure it out yourself. if u cant see what people write and read about the morph to see why they wrote that. and if you cant figure out then ask why... which you did, which is just fine :)

I was not talking down to you. I am now getting aggravated with trying to HELP YOU LEARN. So, I'm done. Do what you want. Breed a bunch of mutts which may or may not turn out healthy, any more than likely will disappoint you when they are not what you expected, and possibly hurt your geckos you are trying to breed because you are putting them through something for your benefit, not caring enough to learn how to do things correctly.

I am learning. Demanding that I answer your questions isnt how I want to learn. I asked a question about my geckos morph, and I got a lot of 'how dare you think about breeding' crammed down my throat.
I would really apprieciate your help, as I do not want to hurt geckos - but I do not like being patronized.

I asked you how you knew, as in, explain to me the differences.

I find it great that you are researching about breeding and are so willing to learn, that's how we all start, right? Heck, even I have so much more to learn! I'm constantly learning new information about geckos and reptiles I never knew before on here. Some people just completely jump into breeding without giving it second thoughts or realizing the commitment, and learn soon after that it was a rash decision and I think it's awesome that you are eager to learn before you breed.

I am not trying to patronize you or talk down to you in saying this, and I'm sure no one else is either, but I think the main point some of these people are trying to get across is that breeding is not a simple chore. It's hard, costly, time-consuming, and space-consuming work. You have to take into consideration the many variables needed for breeding; space for tubs, money, incubating, heat, feeding, cleaning, etc. Some people don't realize that females store viable sperm months after the initial mating, and could end up producing a lot more hatchlings than expected. Juveniles are often less-than-pleasant to deal with, you'd probably be dealing with a lot of screeching, dashing, and biting. They are tiny, fragile lives that are all depending on you for their health and prosperity.
Many people often have a vision that one day they'll become a huge breeder in the herp world and produce lots of animals every year. The truth however, is that the process of becoming a big-known herp breeder is very long and chances are you'll end up spending much more money on the many geckos you'll be caring for than taking in money from selling them.
It's important to have a good knowledge of genetics as well, along with all the leopard geckos morphs out there. I agree with what BrightReptiles was saying in that if you wanted to be serious with breeding, you should focus on stock produced by well-known breeders. The genetics of pet store geckos are often a mystery, you can never be exactly sure of a gecko's genotype and hets. You don't want to end up muddying the waters (as it's often called here) with a bunch of geckos who might carry hidden genetics.

I am in no way a breeder myself, as I'm young and am lucky for the two geckos I have, so what I'm saying is based off of what I've heard and seen, and not from personal experience. I'm sure many breeders here could tell you more accurate, personal stories about what they've experienced.

So, in general, be sure you take into full consideration the full time responsibility that comes with breeding, and do plenty of research. Tiny lives are at stake!

I think what is trying to be said but is being said in the wrong way for you to understand without being offended is your doing your research after you started buying geckos for breeding purpose. Now you have a gecko that you cant use in a project you are interested in. Do all the research you can on what morphs interest you and then find the ones that will work best from reputable breeders.

I didnt buy my geckos initially for breeding purposes. I only have a few, and want to dabble in the idea of breeding. I am very aware of the amount of time and effort and responsibility it will take. I've bred other things before like I said, just not leos.

I guess my issue is that I asked a simple question that any new beginner could get confused with. I wanted to know what morph my one little guy was, and I got information I already knew crammed down my throat. You may not WANT to sound patronizing, but I is.

I'm thankful for the help and concern - but I didnt ask the question "Do you think I'm ready to breed". I know the answer to that already.

I asked if I had a Blizzard or a Murphys.

I know how to make diablos thanks. Why is everyone on this forum so judgemental??

It frustrates me how insensitive people have become. I am guilty of acting this way as well but I at least am aware and attempt not to be so jaded.
It sucks getting burned by ignorant people but it should not be taken out on others.

If newbie questions frustrate you, dont post?

Piggy back this point: If you cant be nice and civil when answering questions then dont answer. Heck this goes along with if you dont like the topic or dont have anything to contribute that would enhance the conversation then DONT POST! Easy as that... ;)
