Eh time will tell what this pans out to being. but i can tell you it will be expensive and the genetics will change a few times after it comes out on the market. I'll let everyone else figure out the genetics and pick one up for $200.

that's funny, its the exact same shade of blue as like our dyed frogs, fish and other aquatic animals... I don't know...looks too too fake.. sorry ron.

Looks fake to me too, but, then again, it is Ron Tremper--and I tend to trust the guy. I mean, what could he possibly gain by faking this? If anything he'd just lose credibility.

But still...seems strange that an animal with primarily earthen tones (browns, blacks, yellows, oranges, some "green"--I'll admit the lavender doesn't fit this category) would suddenly mutate and begin showing a bright blue...

ha ha ha you wish they'd be 200$ I don't think ron even sells his geckos that cheap XD lol

his xanthtic or whatever it is runs around 1200 or more :)

if and when these do hit market I'm expecting some macho nacho prices

The same could be said about AFTs, but there is already a project out there with AFTs with bright blue tails (Part of the White Out project I believe?)

It's a very similar color, I did a quick search and didn't find the pic but it's in this video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yeq0nGPLEE

I wonder why it looks truer on the AFT. Do you understand what I mean by truer? Comparing the two, the leo has an almost hollow, surface color, and the AFT has a richer, deeper color. As I've mentioned before, the blue belly on the leo looks very similar to stained/dyed animals we've encountered before, whereas the blue-tailed AFT has a tail that is very obviously naturally that color.

Also, as I've said, I don't for one minute doubt the validity of Tremper's claim, but I do find it strange that it looks the way it does.

Yes, I do understand what you mean. The deeper color is much more believable, and the blue belly looks rather strange. I just wanted to throw that out there for those who may not have heard of it before.

I'd rather have a blue tailed AFT than a blue belly'd Leo any day :)

I dont think ember are green at all.

Dont see what other people are seeing. Hopefully his blue geckos are actually blue and not something that appears to be blue because of the contrast in lighting from other colors on the gecko.
