I imagine that he is testing to see if he has a fourth strain of albino on his hands. If you think about it, any morph can be bred into any of the three existing strains, just like the elcipse... I am unsure what you mean by that.

wow!

Wow! Very cool interview and photo!

Only the future knows what the genetics are, but I can't wait to find out! The possibilities are endless if it truly is genetic. Just remember that "carrottails" and "tangerines" started with only a small section of the base of the tail or orange spots along the body. Through years of selective breeding, you now see specimens with intense orange body coloration and full tails of carrot!

I like how the "blue bellied" gecko has his head pinched- I actually started cracking up! The gecko has his hands up around the thumb- like, please let go of me! hah

10,000 Hatchlings. you figure a what 30% loss in either poor living conditions and transportation that's about 7,000 leopard geckos released. You're bound to find some mutation. If it's good or not no one will really know until the smaller breeders do the research.

Totally not impressed. It was actually very anti-dramatic i'm disappointed.

Well it wasn’t the climax I was hoping for. It almost looks as if the blue coloration is under the skin.

I mean are we talking.

Talbino.
Ralbino.
Balbino.
Blue belly albino.

or

Talbino + blue belly gene.
etc'etc.

As a example Talbino normal X blue belly albino normal = Normal HET Talbino,Blue belly albino.

In the same way that Talbino normal X Balbino normal = Normal HET Talbino,Balbino.

or

Talbino normal X Blue belly albino normal = Talbino HET blue belly.

In the same way that Talbino eclipse normal X Talbino normal = Talbino normal HET Eclipse.

So is it a all in one complete albino_Or is the blue belly a added plus to add to the exsisting albino traits.

What I got from the interview concerning the blue belly and the new albino strain is that they are two separate genes themselves. So Ron has stumbled on a fourth albino strain and has a blue belly gene that he is working with as well that can be combined with all the other morphs and the "4" albino strains.

It's pretty sweet looking! I'm guessing this fourth albino strain is the Abyssinians... The eyes definitely look albino...

Very cool! I'm an idiot when it comes to this stuff; but what was the belly button looking thing on its belly? A healing sore or something?

I was wondering the same thing but didn't want to ask, haha

Also...the blue on the belly is strangely reminiscent of the time one of my leos had a "bath" in red gatorade. Her tummy was stained like that (though red, not blue) until her next shed.

I am one of the lucky ones that have had the previlige to see this gecko and a couple of more ( on pics ) some month ago. And I can just say that they are not only beautiful on the belly...the whole gecko is amazing :)
