I go at 50 grams and 9 months. I try to hold back offspring born during the early part of the season. I have a juvie born in April last year, is about 50 grams and has just started to ovulate so she will breed this month.

My females need to be at least 1 year old and 55 grams so I decide to breed them, but if they can have more weight even better...

Ok, i have a female sunglow het raptor that i produced 9/2/09 and she weighs 54grams and was wondering should i wait longer?

I was in that situation with one of my juvies where someone wanted to buy her and she was about that weight at that age. I think it's really best to wait till she's 9 months. Even though she's the "right" weight, maybe her genetic heritage is to be really big and breeding her too young will make it difficult for her to achieve that. She should still be capable of producing nice young at the beginning of the summer.
