Well I really hope that she isn't able to see anything in the round room but I'll respect whatever decision you make. I just personally think she's super flaky and not necessarily trustworthy or responsible but whatever...

Yes, please do that! I think there may have been another one started earlier as well - about the time of that whole boi thing. I like Brittney as well - I'd hate for her to see the venting of old or even new frustrations.

Brittney and I didn't get off to a very good start when she purchased an awesome carrot-head hybino from me. She was going around talking to other breeders about this gecko being 'psycho', and I called her on it. I offered to buy back the gecko from her if she wasn't happy with it, and was concerned my gecko wasn't happy either. Well, that gecko is Mushu... one of her favorite geckos now!

Since then, I have come to know and understand Brittney. She is young in years and experience, and is not easy to get to know at first. I would consider her to be 'eccentric' in many ways, and she can make you frustrated at times with some of her quirks.

What I do know about her is that she is a very talented web designer, photographer, and musician. She is kind, considerate, and compassionate. She has never broken a confidence when I have shared very personal things with her.

She came up to spend time with me, and helped me clean and feed my geckos when I wasn't feeling well several weeks ago. She has called almost daily to see what the doctor's are doing about my latest mammogram, which showed something suspicious. She came and took fantastic photos of my geckos for me... without charge.

Yes, she can be 'flaky' about certain things, and she doesn't always use the best judgment when dealing with people. Decision making isn't one of her better qualities. Basically, it's the typical stuff you would expect from a 21-year old young woman. Hell, she is only 5 years older than my granddaughter! But, she is trying very hard learn how to do business using the fantastic skills she possesses.

I think the website work she has done for Debbie and Mike R. is fantastic! Brittney is also doing work for 3 other US breeders, as well as one of the well-known European breeders...not to mention some of the design work she has done for non-reptile related businesses recently.

Anyway, I guess what I am trying to say is that Brittney's first impressions aren't always the best, and her inexperience may lead her to sometimes make poor choices and judgment. But given the chance, she would go above and beyond the call of duty to perform a helluva job.

If she read any of this stuff about her here in the Round Room, it would completely devastate her... including my earlier frustration I vented here in regard to my dealings with her. The difference is that she and I were able to work out our issues between ourselves without any further need on my part to bring it here to the Round Room, or discuss it with anyone else. I'm glad I took the time and effort to do that, and to come to know Brittney for who she really is under some of that rough exterior.

Yes, there is a chance she could read everything that is in the Round Room. I understand that might make some of you uncomfortable. One thing I could do is just delete the entire forum and then when she is finished with her work I could make a new one. It seems a little bit extreme and it would erase all RR posts thus far but does it matter that much? The Round Room is more of a daily posting deal and not so much a search and research type of forum so I for one don't care if we delete all and start over.

See, Brittney doesn't really seem flaky or untrustworthy to me at all, she just seems young and inexperienced. I need something done here at GF and she is willing to help me out free of charge. I have some good ideas about what we can do to move the site to the next level, but I cannot do it by myself. She is offering to help me out and in the long run we will all benefit.

Well, let me know your thoughts.

Wow, I know it wouldn't be a "Big" deal if all the posts were deleted, but it almost kind of makes me a little sad, Ihave shared some REALLY, um, MAJOR life changes, feeling, etc, on here, and even though I don't really go back to read them often, it almost seams wrong to just "Delete" them.

Can you just close this forum until she is done?

Also, Val, can you have Ryan go into the admin cp and make the Round Room a secondary user group for himself? I tried but it won't allow me to change any of his permissions.

What I did was change the permissions and now Admin cannot see the Round Room unless they have it checked off as a secondary user group. The 1966_Pony account's primary usergroup is Admin, and they have no secondary usergroups checked. Therefore, that account cannot view the Round Room or Insiders forum.

I don't know if anyone else checked yet, but I logged in with that username and could see the mod forum and the insider's forum, but not the round room.

I agree, let's delete this thread (PLEASE) and Marcia's earlier one. Brittney's not a bad person, she just makes bad choices sometimes. One happened to effect me. I'm not going to hold grudges against her; as it's been pointed out, she is young and has some "issues." She also has talent, which sounds like is going to be put to very good use here. I honestly hope it works out.

Also, Kelli, maybe you could "close" the round room for the time it takes Brittney to do the work like you did before? Then there would be NO chance she could even find out about the RR at all. That way, all the personal posts that were made here could remain except the ones about her. Just a thought. She is computer savvy, so it's possible she could find stuff out otherwise...........curiosity didn't only kill cats.

Honestly, I don't much care if anything gets permanently deleted. In some ways, it might not be such a bad idea. Any deletions would have to be 'hard' deletes though; I believe that's the only way to avoid anyone being able to see them again.
