what is her cage like? temps, hides, and what do you have her on? what are you feeding her. The word "Fingers" Got me. sometimes if you only show your fingers or Wiggle them or even hover your hand over them Unsure to pick them up. they will get scared and BAM. your bite. A little gecko looking up like that only seeing your Huge hand with big fingers. Has to be super scary. She doesn't know you mean her no harm..For all she knows your a hungry Hawk Grabbing her up. if everything in your cage is right. maybe you should warm up to her with a pair of gloves. Dont put your hand over the gecko. try making it like a "ramp" where they can clime up. Be slow and easy. good luck!

cage is good, she is my 12th gecko and this is the 1st time this has ever happened, i bought her with another one and the phantom is docile like my other geckos, (lil skittish) she is 27grams, while the demon is 47grams. gonna try some human contact again today.

I have never had an adult gecko that bad but I have 2 little blazing blizzard hatchlings that are demons from downunder ! They bite every day twice a day ( every time I clean and feed). The good thing is it doesn't hurt.

Just leave the gecko alone. She's in a new environment, and really stressed out. The more you try to handle her right now, the more she's going to resent being taken out. Let her adjust to her new home first. She'll come around.

Agreed... and when you say the cage is good... I don't understand why its so hard to give out temps, etc, etc...

Agree also. Also wouldnt condone taking the gecko out in the car...but too late for that I guess

They should also know to let them be since this is their 12th leo...

Some people may not want to type all the info out I guess

The only reason the gecko would be calm in the car is of extreme stress... Can't blame it either...

Training 101

Hi.
Yep, I read all the posts to your thread.
So I know this is "going against the grain" but LOL....IMHO
I feel training anything (even geckos) begins right away.
If its the first day of training you don't expect miracles but you pace things with a better method........Do this and in two or three attempts
you will have a Friend.....................
.WET YOUR KNUCKLE (your hands made into a fist)
Slide it to your boy or girl.....if they choose to bang it, so be it.
Don't let it startle you because they will retreat after tasting water.
You have just taught them you are good for them.
I bet if you wet it again and do the same thing, that will be
the last time they object to your closeness in their home.
If I'm wrong, do the same thing the next day til I'm right.
Take care. HJ

FORGOT:
Don't shake off a locked up bite.
Keep the water mist bottle handy.
one burst will unlock two males in battle
so it should make yours release.
Take care. Hj

I have to say that I agree with Hj, and also that the first thought I had was, did her previous owner hand feed her? I hand feed my geckos and my husband had been nipped many times for reaching into the tank with dangling fingers.

Just putt your hand in front of the gecko dont try to pick it up if you put your hand in front of it when it is ready it will go on your hand. Then you can handle him/her.

Well if you put your fingers in just like that, theres your answer. Try sliding your hand in the tank in a not so abrupt fashion. Or is everything hunky dory, now?
