I put up one of those repti hammock things.. and my gecko made it his new toilet...
kinda funny cause he climbs up there just to poop and then goes back down.

One of mine always goes in the same spot ... the other just seems to "let one go" whenever and wherever she is.

Yes mine goes in the same spot, I thought that was very funny and interesting. My son made his leo a little wood house as a hide, instead of hiding in it he poops on top of it.
Its a pile up of poop on top of his house. :)
I wish cresties did that its much easier to clean that poop dripping down the side of the glass!

Yeah both my leos have they're own poop spot. The funny thing is I have a Exo-terra foam background (3D rock looking) and one of them climb on that and always poop vertically, so the poop just fall down in the same corner of the floor/wall haha.

Yes, all of mine do. I just need to lay some toilet paper in that corner for easy cleaning.

All my older guys poo in the same corner. In fact, the back left corner in all tanks, regardless of orientation of the tank... the four young enigmas just go wherever, though- quite annoying. They seem to be better about it when housed with the older adults and there is a poo corner already established.

I have two geckos housed in sep tanks and both have their own designated spots..one is front left of tank on cool side and hte other is center back behind a tree in the tank lol tried to move that ones spot by rearanging the set up so that he doesn't poop on the tree but he is stubborn I guess :p and it didn't work still pooing in same spot..nice easy clean up tho :)

I wish my geckos would have a designated pooping station. None of mine ever go in the same spot twice, they just seem to poop wherever they please. Daily cleaning is like hunting for easter eggs, you never know from day to day where they decide to lay their treasures. Hmmm...what's it gonna be today? On top of the humid hide? On the side? On the side of the glass? In the water dish? Surprise me!

Oh which reminds me, have you guys ever caught your leos in the act of pooping? It's the damnedest thing...they lift both back legs up like they were excersizing on a balance ball and then they let it rip.

some of mine do and like two of them dont... Its weird, my juvies i jus got poop in their hide on their warm side and all over the hide.. my adults poop on a rock in the same corner, i tried to move the rock somewhere else, and they jus continued pooping in the old corner.. I Thought that was kinda neat.

Same here.. got tired of cleaning it though, and I wanted someone to use it!! So I moved the repti-hammock from cage to cage until one of the groups did not designate it as a bathroom lol

Wow, that's crazy! in our apt., all of our adults poop in the back RIGHT corner of the cage, in all tanks too! ohh.. except one, that group poops in the back left area like yours do :main_yes:

As for our little ones that live in bins, they all tend to poop in the front, so it's easy to clean. I have ONE that poops in the very back :main_rolleyes:

Most of ours go in the same spot....even if it's a spot that I prefer them not to go in,lol. We have one that loves to poo in his calcium dish and one that seems to need to go in the water dish, grrrrrrr.
