Egg is sweating... :(

I don't like that my egg is sweating. For my last two hatchlings, the eggs never sweat and out popped beautiful hatchlings. The experience I have with eggs that sweat are dead babies. The clutchmate egg to the dreamsicle is sweating. I discovered this after coming home from work at 7pm. I left home at about 1:30, so it could have started any time after that. I used to be able to candle the egg without actually opening the container by looking through the top of it with a flashlight and the overhead lights off. Now, I can't see anything. I'm starting to kind of get a bad feeling about this. :main_thumbsdown:

I have only noticed sweating on one of my eggs this season, but it hatched just fine shortly after. There could have been others, but most of what I caught had already pipped.

Thanks Tony, but I don't think this one made it. The egg has collapsed, it looks like doo doo, and it's still sweating like crazy. When I candle through the top, I see no movement whatsoever. It would be a miracle if this baby hatched. :(

The egg collapsed and turned yellow this morning. The baby passed away. I do have pics of what was inside, but I will make a separate thread later on today.

Sorry to hear that Maia. I just lost a clutch as well. 3 days past hatch date and neither pipped, both died. End of the season eggs always give me more issues.

Personally, I have never seen an egg sweat before and I have hatched well over a thousand
eggs... Also, since we have been using the SIM containers, we have never seen an egg collapse... All eggs of all species remain turgid throughout incubation without sweating... To me, collapsing and sweating are not good signs...
