Flat out stupid????

Does anyone else think that its just stupid to house bearded dragons with leopard geckos? Even if they are babies when I was at a local pet store the poor little gecko had half of its tail bitten off by a bearded dragon that it had been house with. I felt sorry for the little guy.

Not only is it bad because they can hurt each other but, they have very different care requirements, beardies need much higher temps, temps that could kill a leo if they are constantly exposed to it, I would speak to the manager if I were you.

Are you serious. I would think that at a petstore they would atleast have half a mind to house two species seperately, but I guess common sense isn't so common.

Yeah well I cant say what pet store but it wasa bigger one I noticed atleast in my area smaller petstores seem to be more caring. I dont think reporting it to a manager is going to fix it I honestly think it was the managers idea.

Unfortunatly, most pet shops only seem to know about the products they sell, not the animals they sell it for.

If you report it to the 800 customer support number or email the company (not the store) the problem might be resolved. Complaining about it on the forum might make you feel better but it won't have any affect on their store. I emailed a chain pet store about some cages being broken and Cresteds and Leos being housed together. They company thanked me and sent to regional manager out to fix the problems.
