General cleaning

At home: dish soap or 5% bleach solution for one gecko.
Work: 5% bleach solution for assorted terrestrial reptiles
Internship: dish soap and/or dilute Clorhexadine aka nolvasan (however its spelled its that blue stuff) for assorted terrestrial and aquatic reptiles.

i use chlorhexidine Solution. i like using it cleans everything and one bottle makes ALOT of cleaner. other then that "green works" and Lysol wipes i use too.

- I use a bleach/water solution then once I've rinsed it out 3045938times I go over it with a mild soap solution and rinse that out 3405394850 times :)

I use a non toxic household cleaner.. I also have some stuff that we got at the petstore for cleaning..but I don't like it..it smells way toxic to me.

I use a vinegar and water mixture. I don't like the idea of exposing the leos to soap or bleach if I miss a corner after scrubbing down...I'll also use "all-natural" Orange Wipes for spot-cleaning

I use Chlorox (sp?) anywhere spray, safe for use around pets :)

There is a GREAT disinfectant made by Pharmacal called Quatricide PV15. Kills all bacteria and viruses. You dilute it and spray it on surfaces and wipe them clean. It is a great product and not harmful to the animals.
So I would clean and wash items with hot soapy water, dry them, and then lightly spray with the Quat product and do a final wiping and you are never going to have infection issues.
