ummm are you sure it's blood?

Because this morning, I had a male breed and well his like toms were sticking out and there is a part where it's very almost bloody red, but it's just the pinkness of it and it looks from much the above picture....like almost identical, if it is blood. that's ironic


(P.S. my gecko is fine, he just had a tiny prolaspe for about 5 mins. He's all better now X))

Has he been dropped or anything? Could be infection, internal bleeding, maybe parasites. Only way to know is the vet. I hope you can take him soon. And I hope your mom is ok!

It looks like a minor prolapse to me, but a better pic would help us out more.

If you haven't done this already, separate him if he's with another gecko. Put him on moist paper towels or moist tile. Leave him alone for a bit and check him again. If you think it's a bit of a body part sticking out, get some karo syrup (from the supermarket) or preparation H (the cream for hemhorroids from the pharmacy) and put a little on the area. This will reduce the swelling and help it go back where it belongs.

If it looks like liquid blood and especially if the bleeding continues, follow the housing directions above and then get him to the vet as soon as you can.
