Russ i understand you are running a forum here but seriously these people need some respect. and dimid i wasnt going to breed them now lol i kno that takes a very long time. but yea russ you need to check some of these people and not only write me because i called someone lame or something they are blatantly disrespecting me when im asking for help to better my leo but all you say is name calling stops now? im not understanding this forum.

You asked for help and we gave you help, this forum is not about making you feel better about yourself, it's about providing the absolute best possible care for your gecko. Fact is, you got a Leo and thought it was okay to wait a week until the UTH arrived for your convenience. Don't feel attacked because we just want your geckos to be healthy as they can possibly be

well first of all, i dont care if you're a herpetologist. If you were a prof. as you say you were you would have asked me and STOPPED ASSUMING. I'm sorry, and I'm not trying to be rude in any way, but if you think that anyone is going to give you an ounce of respect for talking like that, then think again. You have been given perfectly (almost too-perfect, but that's expected from this member) sound advice from Seamus and I agree with him wholeheartedly. Instead, you go and call him a "clown" and a "weirdo" and have talked about "jabbing him in the face" and "kicking the h*** outta him." What are we in third grade? Nobody on here says what they say because they are trying to be rude, no matter how they say it. Everybody wants to give genuine help, and sometimes the truth may hurt. But for the sake of your animal/s wellbeing and prosperity, I think it's time to accept that truth and take the advise that's been given instead of stubbornly and arrogantly trash-talking a member. Treat people the way you want to be treated.

Oh, and please don't be breeding. You're not ready and neither are your animals.

blah blah blah read correctly people! i got the leo on sunday and the uth was coming weds morning....since when was that a week? lol wow at you guys reading what you would like to read...anyway i dont really care about how any of u feel yall basically told me throw him away because he was too skinny smh and now hes eating just fine and even shed today....(hmm hes doing alot for someone who doesnt know what hes doing right?) ask before you make assumptions as i stated earlier gracias

I'm glad your geckos are doing better, for some reason I assumed it was a while until the UTH came in but still even a day without an UTH heater is very harmful to a gecko who is already stressed from moving to a new enclosure. You act like everyone here just wants to hurt you. It's not like we all message each other and plan to gang up on you. We all just see how you care for your geckos and the way you handle constructive criticism and it is very immature in my opinion. I was mature enough at the beginning of this post to apologize for assuming it was a week without heat. You called someone on this forum 3rd grade names and that person is actually one of the MOST HELPFUL people here. We were to busy giving you correct information then worrying about being nice. When I came on here I learned that I was doing a couple things wrong in my gecko husbandry. I was quickly corrected and now my geckos are healthier and even seem happier then before. This is nothing to get upset about and yes you are going to receive bad looks from other members when you post like a 5 year old. You asked for our advice, it was given very quickly, you didn't like it so you got mad because we didn't sugar coat it enough for you. If you would like to continue to receive correct information I'm sure an apology would be accepted and you could start over.

Sunday-Wednesday morning is still way too long without heat as I stated above. For someone to take in an animal before they have the equipment necessary to care of it is just wrong. You got the gecko from petco, why didn't you pick up an UTH there? Let me guess, it was cheaper online, which is definitely worth your gecko being without heat for over 2 days.

A gecko can get respiratory for being exposed to the cold, make sure you keep the temps around 90-95 degrees no higher n check with a digital thermometer,and I guess people acted the way they dis because you got the gecko first then asked questions and then went along with getting more; however, they gave you FACTS and INFORMTION that YOU NEEDED. Im sure you will take care of your geckos, nobody is an expert at first, but that's why you can post online to get the answers you need that way your geckos can live comfortably.

He didn't even have a basic setup, and when he was called to the mat on it, he got butthurt and went all monkey psychology. At least, I think that's what happened... I misplaced my AOLbonics to english dictionary.

If that is how he's going to react, I really don't think he has it in him to learn much of anything from anybody here.

Just because a geckos IS eating and IS shedding doesnt mean your doing things right.
it means your not doing EVERYTHING wrong...

If he really is doing better great.. but your attitude is pretty bad. and just because someone calls you out on your mistakes you dont have to get so pissy, the comments WILL get you banned from this forum. which you may greatly regret one day.

No one said throw it away, I SAID take it back because generally when they are that far gone they dont recover, and you risk contaminating other animals if that one has a parasite.

Seriously, I am surprised that people actually respond and keep responding to an individual like this. He is seems to enjoy ruffling peoples feathers more then he does taking advice from anyone. If someone doesn't want to take your advice then why keep responding? I rather put forth my energy with people who are willing to listen and doesn't act like a middle school child.
