i guess i was a bad boy. i didn't get anything.

and to put the icing on the cake, my recipient hasn't been online since mid-december and i have no idea if he got his gift or even cares. it's not about the money i spent or the hassle of getting it there before christmas so much. i just want to know it was appreciated.

[/rant]

hope everyone else's SS experience was a positive one.

Hey, Rob! I can sympathize. I went through a similar situation last year. It just turned out the other person had lots going on and hadn't been on here for a while. But all ended well and they got their parcel just fine.

I hear there is a life outside GeckoForums.net. Although I wouldn't know much about that... :main_laugh:

Awe =/ Some people are still sending out their gifts. I know that I still have not sent mine to my recipient on another website. My boyfriends recipient hasnt said anything about his gift either... Sorry yours isnt going well.
My experience was excellent!

The Secret Easter Bunny thing was my first time doing an exchange, and was also my last. It was an unpleasant experience. But besides that it seems every time one of these are done there are quite a few people that receive gifts but never get around to sending one out. It's my opinion that the people that organize these should also keep track of who sends gifts and who doesn't. The people that don't send a gift out shouldn't be allowed to sign up for future gift exchanges.

I never got mine either, and I was really looking forward to it. My recipient received their gecko though! I agree that those that do not send a gift out should not be allowed to participate in the future.

I received mine, but I have yet to send mine out.
Uh, mine is a living creature, though, and with the temps being what they've been, there's NO WAY I'm having a living creature shipped in this.
But I have contacted my recipient and explained the situation, and I've also contacted the seller.:main_yes:

Yeah, I'm sending a gecko out but the person I got lives in north central USA, and there is no way I'm going to send a gecko out at this time of year! That's alright though, the gecko is growing big and fast, so he'll be nearly full grown by the time my person gets him. :)

I heard from my SS before Christmas but it's been a while, but that's alright. I'm not back in GA yet, so hopefully I hear word by the end of this month. *crosses fingers*

Dang Kelli, the person who got you sure was lucky!! You've got some amazing critters!

I haven't received mine yet either, but because the deadline isn't until February first (I believe that's what I read), I'm patient. Patient for the time being. :main_evilgrin: And I didn't ask for a gecko, so temps aren't an excuse.

I met with my recipient the day after Christmas. I gave a gecko, but drove half-way so I wouldn't have to worry about shipping. I'm pretty sure he was happy, and I'm glad to have it behind me. :main_yes:

let's make a list and check it twice...

That's funny but true. I've heard many stories like this in my time on forums. I feel that as long as you contact the other person and make the situatiuon clear you are doing the right thing. Hopefully people do what they should and honor their commitment to the SS Project. If not, I agree that there should be a naughty list.

I know what I want to buy my SS now BUT keep forgetting to go to the bank so I have enough money on my Debit card to order it. I did PM her a few weeks ago to tell her I DID NOT FORGET and she will be getting a gift I just haven't had the time.
