I was wondering, my gecko seems like she is ALWAYS straving. I feed 9 worms/crickets a day. How often do you feed urs? if feed every other day divide the amount fed by 2.

My leo Lana eats one male dubia every other day or so.

Aurora the AFT used to eat anything and everything and was eating upwards of 5 nymphs, 5 supers and a bunch of mealworms a day but she's gotten over that and levels out at around 4-5 roach nymphs or 4-5 large supers depending on the day.

Marley eats around 3-4 small roach nymph (less than an inch), 2-3 large supers (around 1.5inches and around 10mealies a day. With all that he still waits for his next feeding time.

I usually give each gecko as much as it wants to eat every day. I have some that will take down 10-15 large crickets or 15 or so meal worms daily, but i have some that will eat 7-10 every other day. I offer food daily. If they don't eat it, i take it out after 25 mins or so.

I have gutloaded mealworms available in a dish 24/7 for all animals, hatchling-adult. I offer lateralis roaches once a week, and rotate them with supers and dubia. I have a few adults who will clean their dish of mealworms, for them I refill every 2 days. I replace mealworms with fresh, gut loaded ones every 24 hours.

My one year old leo was very sick with an unknown internal infection when he was little, so he is very small. My other one year old leo is also kind of small, and he gets 3-4 crickets a night with 2-3 mealies. I feed him 3-4 crickets and 2-3 mealies a night and skip one day a week. My two year old leo is huge, so he gets 5 crickets and 4-5 mealies a night.

My oldest 2 (around 1 year old) are being picky eaters a bit atm and eat 1-3 medium/large dubia nymphs every 2-3 days. Sometimes maybe only 2-3 in a week. They dont care for mealworms anymore and wont eat from a dish. They arent losing weight though and are perfectly healthy and active. They have nice chubby tails so im hoping there arent any problems.

Peppa (about 6 months) normally eats 1-2 medium sized dubias every other day and has mealworms in her dish all the time, normally eats about 10.

With my babies who are about 3 months old now they sometimes have 2-3 very small dubias every other day and then eat about 25-30 mealworms between them every 2 days. Freya has a very chubby tail but isnt fat in her body but Bubba has a decent sized tail and body, not fat but not thin. Then again unless he is sleeping or just chilling he wanders around a lot, more than the other 4.

And writing this makes me realise i care more about their eating habits than i do my own :main_rolleyes:

my 10 month old gecko has 2 mid-larg crickets 5 times a week. Last time i tried 3 she only ate 2 but now she's a little older i might try 3 again, sometimes i give her mealworms aswell but then i only put around 3-4 in. Hope this helps.

It seems Yoshi is starting to prefer eating every other day, although I still offer food nightly. She is eating 10 mealworms now. Last night, she ate 3 big crickets and 9 mealworms.

They always have food in their dishes, but when I get home from work I break out the big supers and they cannot be contained by a bowl...so I have to tong feed them...they usually take about 3 of the large supers but sometimes they'll eat about 5 medium supers...the girls are juvies btw my only baby eates out 8 of the small supers. I just feed them until they ignore what I'm putting down in front of them.

This is what I do, too. Each adult is different for me, but geckos under a year get as much as they want.

i was having some problems with my female. i kept the male and female in one terrarium but it seemed to me that he was in control of the place and food too. she wasn't eating at all and always inside the cave sleeping, so i decided to separate them, thinking it was stress. now, she seems more active and started eating 2 or 3 crikets a day, no worms though (not interested). i was a little bit scare beacuse she used to eat about 4-6 crickets a day....do you think it's ok? 2-3 per day?

I feed as much as my juvi will eat which can be anywhere from 5-20 mealies per day lol. I leave mealies in the dish at all times so he can eat when he likes. Hes 4 months old.

I used to feed 10 crickets daily and im going to start feeding both mealies and med crickets to see how that goes.
