I'm 27. It's pretty amazing to see all the younger kids interested in this hobby. There really wasn't the same community for that age when i was a kid. I was kind of stuck with whatever was found in the pet store or if the show came around. Kudos to all you guys, I'm really not that old yet but still have respect for your participation.

You know it does worry me to see folks under 18 posting their ages.
Although we would all love to think that all folks on GF are nice, non-stalker pedophile types, we really have no way of telling.
Even on normal, friendly forums predators can be lurking and waiting to identify a potential target.
I was a mod on another forum, a very large one, we ended up working with state and Feds when a predator (pretending to be 15) targeted a younger member (14), and got far too much information from her (like town, school, syblings etc) the PMs showed that he was grooming her. All contact was done through PMs and not through the main board, the only reason we all found out was that the mom found out and contacted the boards owners. Through cooperation with the authorities this guy was tracked down and charged.

I would beg that those under 18 think very carefully before posting their age on the boards, and should probably ask their parents. This is a great place for learning, I would hate for it to be used for something as negative and disgusting as grooming minors for sexual deviances.
