I have no clue what to breed with my Blazing Blizzard male. He does have about 5-10% eclipse eye color and a highlighter yellow frost on only his bumps. I don't wanna make Blazings if I could do something more profitable but being new to this I have no clue what else I could breed him with the only option I have seen so far is to make Blazings. Hopefully someone here can give me a few ideas I will get 2 females to mate with him.

If it is a Tremper BB, then you could pair him with some R.A.P.T.O.R. females. You could eventually produce "Diablo Blancos", which look a lot like Blazing Blizzards but have solid red eyes. In the first generation your offspring will be very brightly colored Tremper Tangerine albinos. The animals that we have that come from R.A.P.T.O.R. x Blazing Blizzard pairings are very beautiful. Just an idea:) And welcome to the forums!

I suppose you could go for Diablo Blancos... You'd have to get a couple female Raptors to pair with him. If you really are new to leos I'd suggest just keeping them for a while before trying to breed them because it can be quite the handful when it comes down to it. If you insist on breeding him then yeah, go for the Diablos, but do plenty of research or you'll be out a pretty penny and could be risking the health and well being of some beautiful creatures (not commodities).

EDIT: LOL! I took too long to post...

Yea RAPTORs are so damn expensive I don't think I will get one till price comes down and trust me I already thought about the DBs but by the time I came out with 'em they wouldn't be worth much. I was thinking about a Mack x Blazing or maby even a Mack Snow x Blazing. Anyone seen anything like this as I haven't.

I have a group of 6 animals dedicated to Snow Blizzards and Super Snow Blazing Blizzards...I actually believe we will see the first SSBB this season from some of the breeders here.

Does anyone else see the trend here???

First of all if you are doing it for the money, pick something else to do for cash... Leopard geckos are not a "make a crap load of money quick" buisiness...

Second, just like any buisiness, you need to spend lots of money to make money... Sad to say, you will get nowhere with low end common morphs if you are looking to do this for money...

Third, you are very new to this and even if you had the high end morphs, you will not get top dollar... You need to build a good rep before you can sell animals for good money...

Fourth, I dont know what your finacial standding is, but it cost alot of money to breed leos... Proper cageing, feeding, heating, a reliable and good quality incubator, and possible vet bills for fecals and other things can run you a bunch of money... Alot of the small to medium breeders are happy when they break even and have some cash left to buy some more high end morphs...

Also, it seems to me that you are more worried about making a profit than you are about starting off the right way and letting things fall into place... That is not a good additude to have in a buisiness that calls for breeders who care about the animals they sell and the people they sell them to...

I actually wasn't planning on selling any offspring anytime soon. I have had my BB for a while now and have always wanted to breed him I know enough about how and what I need this was the only thing left in the planning phase. I never would do something like this with out first the proper planning and supplies. The reason I wanna try to get in on something new is so that in the future (2-3 years) I'll already have a leg up. My finacial situation is ok but to me no leo will be worth 1000$. 500$ is pushing it but I do understand people will pay it and people will make their living off of it I am not planning to do this its just a hobby to me but if I have the oppertunity to actually make some money then thats what I'm gonna go for (I ain't quittin' my day job though lol). Hopfully this will better explain my intentions.

I second and third what Gregg said. And I hate to say it but you do sound a bit contradicting in your posts-you want a morph that is profitable, you plan to not sell the babies at first, but then by the time you get somewhere you're afraid the morph won't be valuable/profitable.
Yet the blanco might be a big huff. You never know with morphs what's going to be hot the next year and so forth or what new morph will pop up. Look at the enigma-come out of no where. I'd say pick what you like and stick with a project-not what someone else likes right now.
I guess what I'm saying is look at the breeders who've done a lot with something-the raining redstripes, the electric line, hot geckos, marcia's bold stripes etc. They chose a line or two to work with and furthered it to what it is now. They just had the foresight to add to an already existing morph and make it better.
I'm guessing you have a tremper bb? You can really do a lot with that, especially if he has an eclipse gene. There's a huge discussion on here about the eclipse that might point you a way to go if you decide to further investigate the eclipse gene. Anyhow, welcome to the board.

First off i'm not uneducated when it comes to breeding geckos and everyone here had to have a first time so can ya'll please try to be helpful as the forum was made for i'm sure. Second I see no reason in wasting my time breeding normal or even common morphs when I have what I think atleast is a tremper BB expressing the eclipse gene. I would love to have a few of the next hot morph but thats not my only consern neither is money as I said I have a day job. All I really wanted to know was what some good combos for breeding with my BB and I think I will go with a pair of female macks snows or maby a MS and another BB that expresses the eclipse gene but since I didn't know what strain of albino it is I didn't wanna add any other types of albino in to the gene pool. I would really like to come up with Super mack snow blazing blizzards. but thats years away i'm sure (hence the reason money or sales doesn't matter now but may later and planning ahead is just smart can't disagree with that)

Your best bet to start your SS BB project would be SS's , codom het BB(blizzard and tremper) or atleast codom het tremper. Most BB's are tremper albino and I have never heard of an eclipse outside tremper lines(though they may be out there)

Anyone know some breeders that have SS co-dom het BB or just tremper albino or even het blizzard for sale now or that are expecting some. I almost wanna just have one SS co-dom het BB and one BB tremper with eclipse gene and maby I can get some offspring with full eclipse eyes to breed in with my SS. How much are SS's het anything I just said going for these days? Only ones I've seen so far are from last season and they are from 300-500$ have they come down in price yet or are they still worth that much?

I have a project you could try but it will take a while and you will have to work for your money :main_thumbsup: .Blazing blizzard/patternless :D you own a blazzing blizzard you need to find out if it's a tremper or rainwater and need a albino patternless of the same strain.

blazing bliz X albino patty = 100% normal albino het bliz & patty.

albino het bliz & patty X albino het bliz & patty = albinos poss hets, albino patty's poss hets blazing bliz's poss hets,With a 1/16 chance of blazing blizzard/patternless.

Blizzard/patternless old name was banana blizzard but as is been miss used so often with standed yellow blizzards the name banana blizzard has been given to high yellow blizzards these days and a leo that is both blizzard & patternless is called blizzard/patternless.

blizzard/patternless X blizzard = 100%blizzards

blizzard/patternless X patternless = 100%patternless.

What does a Patternless BB look like I have never seen one I have seen many bananna blizzards but never one that was advertised as PattBB. I am pretty sure that he is a tremper as he has the eclipse gene but as was said before its always possible to be LV or Bell (heh I whish). It also looks like he has a stripe on his back very thin it just looks whiter than his body's white. Is that his spine or could that really be a stripe? I think I'm decided on the SSBB but if that becomes to expensive of a prospect then I might try that. Is it possible to make a genetic sunglow by breeding SHTBCT het. BB with a BB eclipse? If so that would be cool a solid neon orange black eyed gecko.

You're not going to find Super Snows het for Blazing Blizzard yet because it would take at least Mack Snow BB x Mack Snow to make them and I haven't heard of any MSBB being produced yet. I suggest emailing Alex Hue and VMS Herp to see if they have and Mack Snows double het BB. I know both are working on that project. Last time I emailed Alex he had SS Blizzard 66% het Tremper females available so you might want to get a couple of them.
