Every time I look at the 2 hatchlings, they just remind me of something that I've seen.

My question is that how is something a new morph when it was just proven recessive just 6 weeks ago. Does 2 hatchlings really determine a new morph has been formed? To me, it just looks like a reverse stripe with some partial bands, most of which looks as though it'll fade.

What does the founding sir look like, since he's the one who started this "morph."

Sorry to sound so skeptical.

I will admit that when AFTs were just beginning, I remember when normal and amel were the only morphs, then stripe and stripe amel. Now, all these new morphs in the Fattie lines have been developed. It's amazing.

This might help you out, not on the zulu morph, but on all morphs in general :main_thumbsup:

with these hatchlings (and all other aft hatchlings) the bands will not fade (nor the stripes) they will in fact become much more pronounced and bolder.

The adult that has started this new morph, has markings that are very broad and defined, not faded at all. We have actually hatched out a few more hatchlings, we just thought these were two good candidates.

Thanks

Thanks, but I am aware of what was said in that thread. To me it was common sense. I just don't see how a morph can be considered a new morph with only 2 hatchlings to prove it out. *shrugs*

Again, sorry for sounding skeptical...

They are neat looking geckos.

Thanks Bryan, we have definitely hatched out enough babies to come to the conclusion that this is a new morph. All of our Zulu babies have this same "zulu" pattern on them. with no 'odd' ones out of the bunch. Sorry for the confusion.

thanks
Brett
