My precious little guy arrived today via FedEx! He's a 3.5 month old banded amel AFT.

Here's me all anxious opening him up:

Look how adorable he is!

I think he likes his new cage. He was exploring for a little while and then settled under a log to nap.

No, the thermometer had been out for awhile. I think it was 85 or something like that. Is that too hot? The care sheets I've read have said to keep it between 80-90 during the day and 75-80 at night.

It was too long awaited! I had an empty tank for over a week! It felt like over a year!

Congratulations! He's very cute. I'm looking forward to my pair waking up next month. Where did you get him from?

Well, originally I was going to wait until January for one of Pat's AFTs, because I hadn't found any that I liked (I had my eye on the albinos, or a striped normal) and he was the most local and nicest that I had talked to. It seemed so incredibly far away though, and patience is not a virtue that I possess.

So I continued browsing around and I happened upon an ad by a guy named Chris on Kingsnake for baby CB albinos, and I thought I'd check it out. He was located in Wisconsin, which wasn't as far as California, which was where most of the online breeders I found were from. He was super nice and didn't give me any reason to believe he was snowballing me, so after a bunch of emails I decided to buy him. Puzzle looks healthy and happy to me...
