Lost snake

Well, my life is over and im a mental wreck currently so please ignore any awkwardness of this post. I went into the KSB tank today to get her out for feeding and lo and behold she wasnt there, that simple. I looked EVERYWHERE, under everything, in everything every cupboard and cabinet. I flipped the couch and so on. EVERYTHING. My biggest concern, i have a cat and 2 dogs. One of wich will kill anything. Now taking the fact that no bodie or blood has been seen ill asume its alive. Currently i draged a thawed mouse through every room leading to mine into a bin next to the tank(on the floor) with the lamp on it. My biggest issue, telling my mom the snake is lost. Cant lie an say it died and i burried it because it may pop up one day. Shed kill me. Cant tell her that it got out, shed kill me. And if she finds it, shed kill it. My question how did a 16" KSB get out of a 20gal tank with a heavy metal lid and a lamp on top.

And by far the worst part, i have murderous ants in my house right now. Although i think i killed most of them. They got into my crickets one day. CLEARED the whole keeper(40 crickets) of any sign of life in around 3 hours.

You're in deep doo-doo now......... hope you find it before someone else does. It's amazing how a snake can squeeze thru the slightest crack and escape. They're sneaky. Like a lizard :)

It surprises me that sand boas like to climb a bit, so check above floor level too, in tight spaces. I don't know how long you can keep it from your mom, but if your can't find it soon, it would be best to tell her. Ask your dad about it. It would be far worse if she found it and didn't know what was going on. I know a woman who lost a young ball and several months later, her elderly mother found it in a box of Chex cereal. Actually in her cereal bowl............ yes, there was a blood curdling scream. I hope you can find yours fast!

Check your mom's bed, just to make sure she doesn't get a heart attack when she comes home tonight... Good luck finding it!!! You can probably lock the cat into the bathroom. That's where I put mine when I feed the geckos and need peace. Don't know about the dogs...

I'm keeping my fingers cross for you!

That really sucks! I hope that you find your snake before your mom, evil cat, etc. Maybe she went after your stepdad to inact some revenge for your mom.

Whoa! Good luck! Maybe I should remember to put the lid on my boas tank! I almost always forget to put it back on, but she's barely 12in.....

Well i was all dressed up in my suit today, and guess who was in my underwear drawer. --------------__________________________----------- yeah. Now i have her in a 10gal, no heat, a towel. Its warm enough in my room so that shell be fine until i find better substrate. I simply dont have anything right now nor the time(big FFA event) Now, how shall i tell mom, im formulating a lie i guess.

Yay!!!! I am happy for you. Did you ever tell your mom it was missing in the first place? What she doesn't know won't hurt her...let sleeping dogs lie, ya know? ;)

I'm glad the snake was in your underwear drawer and not in your mom's :main_evilgrin: :p

Great you got it back!! What about a nice latch with a lock on the top? :main_yes: :D
