Back in the mid 90s I picked up several from Bill Brandt for 300 - 400 each. Then came the orange amel faties for 800 - 1000 each five years ago. Next were the high end Restripes for 800 - 1000 each. Things were looking up and the gecko fund grew some cobwebs - then came the Enigma het Raptor male.

Converted to USD: $389,43 (€250,-)for a beautiful RS tangerine albino het. R.A.P.T.OR female. Three days after I bought her, she laid two eggs and they both hatched, so actually I got three RS tangerine albinos het. R.A.P.T.OR for that money!!!

$30 which was a great deal on my one and only gecko, a nice SHTCTB male from JMG at last year's Mid-Atlantic Reptile Show. i'm trying to decide what to spend money on when it rolls around again in September since i have an empty 50 gallon tank. i narrowed it down to a few rhacodactylus (cresties or gargoyles, whichever i can afford more comfortably) or a few female leopard geckos for breeding sometime down the line.

my parents and/or grandma spent more than that in the past on geckos for me (a mack snow and a gold dust day gecko) but they all died soon after i got them. i blame my cursed 10 gallon tank of the underworld, forged from the bones of fornicators into a herpetological death chamber the likes of which has never been seen. seriously, every reptile or amphibian i've kept in there has died in less than a year (most in under a month) except for one box turtle.
don't worry, i'm destroying the tank when we move to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands and further decimating the world's pet reptile population.

The two that I bought were $50 a peice. 1 male giant tremper albino(I think he was a deal:main_thumbsup and a female normal(maybe highyellow, not sure). Love them both to death!!

I think...... but thats real close, she's my Tang from albey, who has since become a "special needs gecko"...I did get a few eggs from her, but think they are infertile, but threw them in the cooker anyway!...lol... hey ya never know!
Oh, then there's my MSSTA from albey too, he was 4, or 450.hmm, can't remember exact ont hat either, other than that average is about 100-300, I've also found a few steals from people "rehoming" on Craigslist!

I seriously don't want to KNOW what I've spent over the last 2 yrs on this, altho I'm certain it's much much less than many of you...... I think my partner would dis-own me if he REALLY knew how many I had, and how much I've spent!
