I actually spent more for my high yellow, Tiamat, than my hypo tang, Mandarin. Tiamat was approx. $120, and Mandarin was only $100. I feel I got a great deal with Mandarin. He may not be a very high end morph but he's got such an awesome personality so far. Tiamat's a little prissy pants. :p

I have quite a few thousands of dollars vested in my geckos. After seeing some of the other prices on this thread I don't feel so bad... The most I've spent one one gecko was $1,200 for a Tremper Albino Snow Enigma. I am very happy with the way she has developed. In the near future she will produce Tremper Albino Super Snow Enigmas.

well...I spent $3500 on a Tremper enigma het Raptor just last season, bred him to everything I had (160+ geckos), and I didn't produce anything but banded tremper enigmas. I incubated almost every egg for male expecting a Nova to pop up. Not one did. Then I lost my job and found out I need a $12,000 jaw surgery :main_thumbsdown: It has been a very difficult hit to take...never again will I pay good money for a dominant morph...and the best specimens of line/selective bred morphs are worth no more than $1000 in my opinion

I've spent well over $20,000 on geckos alone and I've only been breeding for 4 years. Remember, a "high end" gecko this season is a run of the mill morph only months later...we are in exponential times. My 2nd year breeding, I bought a raptor male for $500--it turned out female and on top of that, sterile. I could go on and on. This is not a cheap hobby!

The most we have spent was on our het. patternless fat tails that was 1,500 for the pair from jmg and soon to be 2,500 on the new white out when I get the call. As for leos a enigma for 800 I got the enigma from devon from NJ he told me he got it from mark and kim bell for 2,500 I am starting to think I should have waited LOL

The highest I ever spent was $150, with shipping. Without shipping, she would have been $100. I now have a beautiful Rainwater, expected to lay eggs soon =P.
