Just got this little '10 anery female kenyan sand boa for my son. he has been begging for a snake and wanted a ball, but i figured this would be a much better starter snake for him. these little guys are really awesome snakes and im actually surprised the wife let us keep her, lol.

rosy boas are pretty much just as handable correct? from what iv read about kenyan is they hide in there sand most of the time.

she's VERY easy to handle, not jumpy at all even when im digging her out. i decided against sand at this age and after some research found that carefresh actually works really well for KSBs as a substrate. i still feed her in a 6 quart sterilite with only a paper towel just to avoid any issues. thanks for the comments, love this little girl already! robin can probably tell you how big of a step this is for my wife, lol. when a guy pulled out his 23 ft python at the arlington show for a picture, she pretty much ran to the other side of the room ;)

She's really pretty! I have two kenyans and they are both super easy to handle. Congrats on the new addition!
