I think I agree with Crash. It doesn't look the same as the Black Pearls that LivingArtGeckos produce. It just looks like a really dark Leo. But I don't know, just my opinion.

Although LivingArtGeckos has less banding it still looks like a dark hypo as does the above specimen.

same thing like Emeralds.
After Tremper released them, many ppl found greenish marks in their Geckos but in the end only Trempers Geckos are allowed to be named Emerine as this is his line of "green" geckos.
And thatsthe same. Your gecko is cool and nice dark but as you haven´´t bought him from Konrad it´s only a dark gecko(you could breed him and prove him out and name him for your linage of Black hypos^^).

That doesn´´t mean it isn´´t what makes a black gecko, it´´s just that it is not a BP line black gecko haha

I call this guy black pearl by myself，but I never think it same with the black pearl named by livingartgeckos
So I am sorry for causing some misunderstands
name is just only symbol，not the truth
So why many people have same name in the world？

Wow, that's crazy. It is a leopard gecko? What do the parents look like? Clutchmate? Were they normals, wild caughts, macks?

I think this is not fair of you to call this gecko the same name as completely different line's gecko. You can call it every name in the world so why black pearl? Personally I would be very happy to have a gecko of a unique black line- it would be great in the future to outcross it with b.pearls and b.velvets! Think of new possibilities and be happy Maybe you are producing a new line yourself?

I'm kinda disgusted by the way some people are bashing komao. It just seems really snotty to me that you guys are getting so specific about the name. The gecko is a beautiful dark, black color and that in itself seems most deserving of the name 'Black Pearl'. After all, from my understanding this is a line-bred trait, not a gene.

I really don't see that much difference between livingartgecko's black pearl and this one, other than that this one's patterning is slightly lighter. Variation similar to this occurs in every morph.

Komao, your black pearl is beautiful. Don't stop calling it what you want to just because these guys have something stuck up their bum.
