I know we are all excited to see this 'new' gecko creation, but everyone... lets make sure we keep the topic of this discussion on the morph itself, and refrain from discussing breeder ethics or popularity contests.
Was this directed at me??...I was in no way trying to discuss his ethics or create any sort of popularity contest.....

I don't think it was directed at anyone specfic, just a general heads up to everyone. Opinions on the morph are fine as far as I am concerned, just watch what you say about Ron and his ethics. I really don't want this to turn into a thread like the one on the diablo blancos. :main_rolleyes: Just think about what you are typing please. :D

i'll admit i like them... only because myy fav color is lime green, and that's probably the closest thing that'll come in a leo. but definately wouldn't pay that price...

I got excited when I heard he was introducing the "Emerines"- something different than just the regular orange these days. I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed. Honestly I have geckos that have the same amount or more of green on them. I just think it's something that may require a few more years....then we can discuss lowering the price tag so we all can get involved :p.

Sorry but are you getting a percentage of the profits or something ??.SaSobek's are just as green and is even better than some of RT's greens. But pretty much for the most part i'd call SoSobek's & RT's even both just as good as each other. How can you say they do not in any way compair ??.

Sorry, but I have to call them like I see them. I said that I think that they are very nice geckos. I guess unless you fawn over something it's considered an insult?? On my monitor anyway, they don't look nearly as good as the Emerines. Again, it appears to me that these green geckos are showing their color very poorly on screen-you'd probably have to see them side by side to properly compare.

As for the price-since they appear to be selling well so far, looks like they are priced appropriately to me.

You didn't answer my question. Have you actually SEEN these geckos?

As i stated clearly before, Marcia-yes, I have seen them. Ron and i are old friends. In fact, I've seen them several times (I'm probably a bit of a pest about them:) )..Once you see them in person, they're a bit addicting. And I'M mainly a snake person :p !

I can't comment on the genetics-of course. Ron is, after all, only human (for example, he was wrong -initially- about the "Giants" being simple recessive). If anyone has any doubts, I'm sure all will soon become clear at the rate these are selling:main_yes: I know at least two or three folks who post regularly on this forum will have them.

Brad

I think this answers your question, Marcia :).

Well Katie, it seems great minds think alike. :D And I can't figure out how to delete mine, oh well.

They are pretty geckos, I will certainly be stoping by RT's booth just to get an in person look, but as far as the pics they are just not "knocking" my socks off. When I saw the Enigma for the first time I knew I had to have one and wouldn't be happpy until I did, but with these I could take or leave, and at that price I think I wil leave :)

I think if SaSobek changed the background/lighting to match RT's, it would be obvious that they are pretty similar. I definitely think this is a pretty morph - I'm just anxious to see how many others out there already have the same thing (*cough* Alberto's rainbow line *cough*).

I'd really like to know if these geckos will REALLY hold their color with age. We have a bunch tangs, raptor crosses, and red stripes that do the same thing and grow out of it. It's just what happens with them. We call it the "dirty stage" when theyre really changing in color as they grow.

I agree though, this is definitely going to take some time. I really don't know what to think right now.

Also, I just updated Alberto's availability if you guys wanted to check out what some of his Rainbow Stripe Project offspring are looking like.
