She is very nice looking. I am wondering, though, if she's going to be a good contributor to a creamsicle project? As I understand it creamsicles have orange and yellow bands. I bred a hypo to a super snow in the hopes of starting a creamsicle project, and, while I may be more successfull with next season's next generation, most of my geckos expressed the hypo trait so they didn't have bands. They also for the most part didn't have the orange coloring and were mostly mustard yellow. I'd be curious to know how she's going to fit into your creamsicle project. I'm always looking for ideas that will improve my project.

Yes, she is a hypo. With the creamsicles, your main focus is the tang trait, so you would actually want to breed the hypo snow to a real nice tang. She is going to be bred with a male shtctb I got from OG geckos if everything works out.

Good luck. I hope you get good results.

Also you are not going to get creamsicles from the first generation. It takes a minimum of 2 generations to start producing creamsicles. Also, from what I understand the tang trait does not show up with the super snows. You have to use a mack snow to create hypo snows, then breed the hypo snows to nice tangs.

You can get first generation cremesicles on the first breeding, but not as successful as with a second and third generation. Take the best, which is typically a gecko with yellow bands and breed to a very orange tang, and so on.

I'm really not sure where you're getting the hypo from, unless you're trying to skip a step and not making your own, but using a hypo yellow instead of a first generation cremescle.

Either way it's a cute gecko... I'd say more spots than the average hypo though.

If she is as young as she looks, the spots will fade as she gets older. Great project keep me updated on your progress!

If Jeff says that's a hypo snow, it's a hypo snow. The hypo snows I hatched last year had a pattern of sorts too while young, but as adults became extremely (super) hypo.

Yes, I was actually looking to skip a step, so I just bought a hypo snow from JMG. = )
