At the Orlando Repticon, May 2010, I bought a pair of shtctb. They mated and layed 3 eggs since then, and the female has gotten much darker. I called the breeder and he said I got very lucky. The female was from a new morph of shtctb that gets darker as they get older. The male is still as brightly colored as when I bought him, and has 50% carrot tail. Also, most of the male's tail is white with speckles, so can you tell if he is part enigma? Thank you for reading and responding!

Nice pickups, he dosent apear to be an enigma. I wouldent call that a new morphs of SHT's, Someone just Took a dark SHTB and bred it to a normal SHTB then breed the darkes babys back.

First off, nice geckos and congrats on the eggs.

There is no such thing as a part enigma, it either is or isn't. It is also common for geckos of any morph to dull after breeding. I don't know who you dealt with but he does not seem to be a trustworthy individual if he is telling you those things...

A lot of Tangerines get paler or darker as they age, especially after breeding so that's nothing out of the ordinary but they are beautiful.

Tangerine is polygenic. I don't think the seller is being very honest with you. Or maybe he he truly believes his friend who seems to be misinformed.
