Does anyone have New Year's Resolutions? Mine are always the same ones as last year's...

Amen to that one, mine is to loose weight just like everyone else, and its funny because while I am typing this I am eating Lasagna. Not off to a good start, lol, but I will get there, I finally have my mind where it needs to be so that is the most important thing. I have to work on getting a six pack instead of the Keg I am carrying around now, lol Good luck to everyone with there resolutions.

Well, if anyone has a New Year's resolution to lose weight, I urge you to stick with the program! I lost 15 pounds of fat last year on my own diet. I had help from Matt and my mom, but you can do it! I promise! If you need help just let mw know and I can give some food advice to you. I'm going to school to be a dietician and specialize in working with overweight children. So PLEASE don't give up this year! I promise you can do it! If you even need to talk to me on the phone, just PM me and I'll give you my number. I just hate seeing people give up on themselves. If I can do it, you can too! You don't need some special stupid diet! And you certainly don't have to starve! lol.

I would like to lose a LOT of weight and get more excercise. It's hard being disabled and not being able to move around like I once did, and chronic pain makes it difficult to get motivated. See? I can find lame excuses... maybe that's why I have the same New Year's Resolution every January!

We all have lame excuses, I am 27, no chronic pain, not disabled, and I still have the same resolution every year, so atleast you have viable excuses. Mine are "Im tired", "I have to feed geckos", and the best one of all is "something is on tv" (which involves sitting on the couch). UGH!!! :main_angry:

I don't have resolutions, per se, but goals (somehow seems harder to break a "goal" than a resolution, LOL). My goal is to be in the black with my geckos (yay!!), save money for our next house, and get my hubby to feed geckos!! :D

I truly hope mine are not the same next year. :main_no:

Marcia and Shaun, I know how hard it is to start exercising. Something that keeps me motivated is reminding myself of how good I feel when I'm done. I feel better about myself ALL DAY if I exercise - even if it's just a nice walk. It's a good feeling for me. I know it's hard when you have chronic pain - I wish I had an answer, or even a suggestion, for that one. :main_no:

I don't really have a new year's resolution. But, I'm hoping not to spend so much money as compared to 2007.

Hey Marcia- Have you tried doing some swimming? I'm not sure of what your disability is but swimming is an excellent way to lose some weight and it may not give you any pain...

Well keep running track! I did in middle school and I loved it....When you get into college it's very stressful so people have a tendancy to gain weight. I wouldn't say I have a weight problem either but I was nice and thin in high school. I started to gain some weight (the freshman 15) in college and caught it before it escalated.

Marcia- I will be your motivation! Just think, if you're not healthy enough, you won't be able to marry Matt and me. :D

Or let your family be your motivation to be healthier. I'm sure they want you aroung as long as possible.

I'm with Robin, I don't make resolutions. I suppose I should make a resolution to not spend so much on tattoos but I know I wouldn't be able to keep it! lol
